i love the way he nonchalantly makes such a dramatic impression, he's the best there is. my fav lines from the 2011 festival (just rewatched entire C4 footage!) are:

Cue Card cruising through gets a roar from the crowd.

Finian's Rainbow leading and Geraghty's looking round.

Hurricane Fly still cruising along on the bridle.

What are yours? Excited

Sorry, its not Simon Holt, but the the oncourse commentator from the 2009 festival.

The Champion Bumper "Rite of Passage is travelling very well" (cue roar from the crowd), "but not as well as Dunguib!" (Cue a huge roar from the crowd)

I love the fact he gave Rite of Passage's backers that glimmer of hope, only to snatch it away seconds later.

Priceless :-)

He says it with about half a mile left.  Doesn't sound that significant on tv, maybe you had to be there with a 7/1 dunguib ticket!!

Will always remember that race wellchief, as my mate was having a pretty good day, decided to have 600 quid on Rite Of Passage. When he came back to the bar before the race he checked his ticket and the bookie had put the money on Dunguib by mistake.

So he hastily went back to the bookie who had spotted the error and got the ticket changed to ROP.

Well the rest is history... ShockedCrazyCry
