"Also DON COSSACK deserves a line even (even if it is premature in terms of Cheltenham 2013").

Gordon Elliott believes the sky is the limit for Don Cossack after his extraordinary victory at Navan on Sunday.
Having oozed class when winning at Naas in October, he was sent off at odds-on to confirm that impression but appeared to have a mountain to climb turning into the straight. The free-wheeling Rory O'Moore was nearly half a furlong in front at one stage but Nina Carberry took the bold decision to set off in pursuit and prevailed by a length and a half at the finish. "He's a good horse. He's only four but he's 17 hands so he's going to be a smasher down the road," said Elliott. "We won't do too much this year, we're going to look after him. "The leader must have been half a furlong in front and the boys had gone to sleep a bit. If Nina got beat it might not have been her finest hour, but it worked out great. "The other horse is no slouch and is two years older, he's a fair horse in his own right. "We all want winners at Cheltenham but I don't think that bumper is the be-all-and-end-all for him. A couple of years down the road he could be anything so we're going to mind him. "The Rockview Bumper at the Curragh (in May) could be his next run, it's very valuable, and then he'll go novice hurdling next season - he won't jump a hurdle in public this year. "He's schooled well at home and jumps very well but we'll keep him as a novice for next year," he told At The Races. |

Should win impressively tomoro
Was a sh1t bumper the cooper and byrnes horses ran in lto - Paul Nolans was nt much better, v poor race too but was eyecatching he came from so far back An impressive win from Champagne Fever should at least ensure he travels to Chelt for the bumper - if he loses tomorro he would does nt deserve to even be mentioned as a Chelt horse |

Lets hope so BJG

Somethin about him just doesnt convince me
Impressive but that was one of the worst bumpers that will be run at Fairyhouse for a long time! Head carriage would nt make me trust him |
|
By:
Agree BJG. Head carriage looks all wrong. Engine looks good though. I would imagine it will be on to the festival

20's with betfreds seems fair enough price tho
|
|
By:
It is 12's with Betfred.
|
|
By:
Ridiculous how much he has shortened on the back of today imo. A completely worthless bumper and any of the top 25 in the betting would no doubt have p1ssed that race.

Morning Royalty expected to use this as a stepping stone to Cheltenham bumper... 33/1 with PP for anyone interested, was a advised by owner to take a little of that... they've had a runner previously in the champion bumper trained by Willie M. was ridden out the front by Katie Walsh, possibly the year Dunquib won, Morning Supreme, came about 5th...
