Us form boys couldnt have asked for a more informative race about assessing the pecking order in the Arkle.

Peddlers Cross clashing with Sprinter Sacre and For Non Stop offering further collateral form to Alferof. Its a dream come true!

With the ground likely to be similar to Festival ground it all adds up to fascinating contest.

Lets hope they all stay on their feet, run their race, and we find out who is best!

We wont find out whose best till March, which is the race they should peak at,but it may give us a bit more idea about things.

I'd be surprised if one of PC or SS were not a NR come the day.  Can't see any advantage to either camp in them clashing at this stage.

One of them will pull out as i stated in another thread. Also Kempton and Cheltenham like chalk and cheese one is greyhound track, other proper test of jumping and stamina?

very true, whole different ball game for young novices.

They are vey different tracks but both are tests of jumping and stamina. Both have stiff fences and the stamina comes in at Kempton because races are frequently run at an end to end gallop whereas it's usually possible to give the horse a short breather at Cheltenham.

Even if all 6 pitch up, it will probably be very tactical. No obvious front runner and I doubt the rags will be able to go fast enough for the other 4. BG is going to have some fun trying to settle SS in a crawl!

I am pretty sure SS will lead, he was very keen at Donny and I doubt there is much point in restraining him - expect to see him sent on

He will have been very fresh at Doncaster and BG had no problem settling him in egg and spoon races over hurdles. It will be a fsacinating watch. I'm away visiting Boxing Day but have told the wife that if we aren't back home by lunctime the following day, then I'm not going!Laugh

yes it is UNMISSABLE for jumps fans imo

I want a good clean race, plenty of pace and no fallers, brought downs, run outs or refusals

let's get some answers, not be left with more "what if?"s

I have it very close between the top two in the market with the rest nowhere to be seen so will be interested to see whether that prediction comes true

Not bottling imo,all about March, not sure its the right thing to have a hard race now.
Makes sense to me

FNS and ss recieving weight from peddlers ...Peddlers never gone right handed and on a course that wont suit him?...Surely they will both beat him to be regarded as serious challengers for the Arkle?... Or will peddlers win?
