Was very impressed with that. Is the plan the Triumph?

Some ante post betting does seem to be very reactive as opposed to pro active.

Place laying the MANY!!! favs for this race has to be 1 of the best plans to ante post Chelt betting..Remember last year it was A media luz fav, Sam winner fav, Brampour, Grandouet..True joke of an ante post betting race

This seasons Triumph hurdle winner is most likely still in France as we speak,absolute madness backing horses antepost for the Triumph

Recent Triumph winners have tended to appear in the new year. Back whatever wins the Adonis

too early to get carried away. on form with the third, hinterland has run below par, and you'd expect any worthy triumph horse to beat a horse rated 117 (the third) on the bridle by at least 10.
Hinterland never showed any change of pace today and just galloped on. definitely not a two miler. baby mix had a nice tow into the race thanks to hinterland and outsprinted him up the hill. very pleasing obviously, but 8s for the triumph? No thanks. |

baby mix finished behind a horse called Hammersly lake when 5th to the top french 3yo Esmondo.
Hammersly Lake is now apparently in the care of Mr Henderson, i know which one out of the two i would back ! |

Since the race Esmondo won with Baby Mix 5th, Esmonodo has won 5 more, and finished 2nd twice by under a length. the only other run he was third and beaten 3 n half lengths by the said Hammersly Lake who was receiving 4lb! v.interesting though as isnt far off the very best 3yo around!

Only difference is that Baby Mix is now proven both at Cheltneham and on better ground. It was both horses debut over hurdles and hard to say who would have improved more.

P Hobbs has acquired Chester Vase 4th Sadler's Risk who won twice for Mark Johnston as a possible Triumph horse & runs later this month. CheltFestNews CheltFestNews Henderson struggling for a leading Triumph horse this season: "I've got one or two promising ones but nothing that is knocking me out." Baby Mix will bid to cement his JCB Triumph Hurdle claims on Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham on January 28. The juvenile will go for the Grade Two JCB Triumph Hurdle Trial, an event which has been a good guide to the Festival race in the past, with recent winners Katchit (2007), Franchoek (2008) and Walkon (2009), all going on to win or be placed in the Triumph. Gloucestershire trainer Tom George has been delighted with Baby Mix since the four-year-old's facile victory on his British debut over the course and distance last month. George said: "I've been very happy with him, he does his work very easily, and he is where we want him really. He had a run over hurdles in France, plenty of Flat racing too, so experience is on his side and, touch wood, he wouldn't need any more practice really. "Our plan is to run him at Cheltenham on January 28 in the trial there, and then go straight to the JCB Triumph Hurdle - he goes well fresh, which he showed last time. "He is a very quick horse, and he is a very good-moving horse, so I can't help but feel the better ground will suit him more, but he is obviously versatile enough as he has won on the soft before anyway." |

Yeah it's hard to forget his dire performance at Cheltenham, but also hard to forget how impressive he was on debut and again today!
