First completed chase start and he's run the Arkle second fav to a neck, travelling and jumping well around a testing Sandown track. Taken a little 26 for Arkle, and 20 for the Jewson. Can see connections changing their mind, Arkle looks very good with Menorah and Peddlers, and today's winner. Stays well and you'd imagine the Jewson would be a weaker race.

Same thoughts W. On quicker ground, he will be readily outpaced over 2 miles. The 2012 Arkle will be a very difficult race to win. Horse has form over hurdles at a trip at Cheltenham and ran really well today.

despite my comment on the other thread, he screams Jewson, in the old days he'd be one you'd keep for Aintree. I think he was probably flattered today though, Al Ferof was idling.
