Won well enough today I thought. Had to do it the hard way and fought off two decent looking rivals one after the other. Wouldn't be my idea of a Supreme horse but who knows at this stage if he keeps improving.

I didn't particularly like the way he showed small signs on mule-ishness at the start. McCoy was kicking at his stirrups to get him going forwards before he was eventually lead in. It was minor and I have seen worse, but something to note.
As for the run, he did it well, battled to the line and jumped well enough. |
By:
yeh,he did do it the hard way,and i was quiet pleased with him.Jumped well and found plenty when asked.
Hes only 4 so plenty of improvement i should think.Price aint changed much, some gone 20 some stiill 25,which i think is probably fair enough. Long way to go but could have a player at a nice price come March. |

Bit confused with this one to be honest,20,s in places yet still available at 50 on here!!
Anyone heard anything?? |
By:
Entered at Ascoy on Friday,up against a good one,so should know more then.
By:
Another victory, this time on ground not to his liking i would have thought.
Got a great attitude this one. |
By:
Yeah he is quite game. Talk afterwards they may step up in trip.
By:
yeh sint, apparently BG told NH that he needs another half mile.Great for my supreme bet!!
By:
Still entered in Supreme and Neptune.Have had a bit of 50 for Neptune on the strength of jockeys comments.
Have to say im still a bit bemused that this horse is ignored to be honest. |
By:
I think the suspicion must be that he is a good yardstick horse Budd but possibly a little short of top class - I agree though, form is the book is usually worth more than gallops morning glories. I am sure the owner will want him to run, so I suspect he'll turn up somewhere.
By:
Hope he does RC,really think hes a player in whatever race.
By:
Certainly a bit of a forgotten horse now, looks solid if unflashy, having a nice break, could be a good angle on this one.
By:
molotof is entered to run in the listed novice hurdle at exeter this sunday.
henderson won this race with spirit son last year |
By:
Looks like he will clash with Montbazon. Thank god there will be no walkovers for anyone.
By:
Thats good,thanks Froggy.
By:
Captain Conan also entered.
By:
Hope he does clash with Montbazon Sint, ive backed both for the Supreme but i really want Molotof to show my faith in him is justified,a big run against Montbazon would do that, although if Montbazon wins nicely it would not be the end of the world.

CheltFestNews CheltFestNews
Henderson plans to run Fest Nov Hdle hope Molotov in Listed Nov Hdle at Exeter on Sun he won with Spirit Son last yr. |
By:
Been keeping an eye on this one in the Supreme market.... and the fact he is as big as 60 is my main concern.
By:
CCM,
Think thats partly down to BG saying he could be better over further. Hes done alright at 2m though. |
By:
Molotof entered at Fakenham on Friday over 2m4.
Heading for Neptune? |
By:
2m 4 around Fake is more like 2m or 2m1 on a stiff track (such as Exeter, today) IMO so no need for alarms yet (though I have a feeling these will all be shuffled around a bit still, and this one may up in trip).
By:
see hes got 2 entries at Ascot on saturday as well
2m and 2m3. |
By:
60's is a big price for a horse that is 3/3 this season over 2 miles. Must be going up in trip >?
By:
Actually, 180 !!
By:
Yep,seems that the Neptune is the most likely according to prices on here, and that dont surprise me given what the jockey said after his last run.
By:
Been taken out of both Ascot races
![]() Anyone hear anything,would appreciate a shout. |
By:
Another 2 enties at the festival now,Coral Cup and MPipe race, looks like a handicap for him.
Oh well worth a try. |
By:
Still in Supreme
![]() |
By:
out of neptune
![]() |
By:
Do you think he is going for a handicap ??
I would like him to go for the supreme. |
By:
so would i for my pocket!!And ive been banging on about him a fair bit, although mostly to myself on this thread
![]() Gut feeling is he will end up in one of the handicaps, but wherever he does run i shall be on. |
By:
I've backed him, its a gimme & mono man for the supreme AP.
![]() It just seems pretty pointless on Molotof winning those decent races earlier in the season if he is going the handicap route. |
By:
i agree mate, and i think his form at 2m is enough to give him a chance in the Supreme.
Worrying thing for me is that BG said he thinks he needs further and my feeling is hes left in Supreme in case it comes up on the soft side, and will run in one of the handicaps on the more likely good ground which are over further. |
By:
I read something today that suggests molotof is going for the MP
By:
dont surprise me,hes quiet an experienced horse that would suit a conditional i reckon.
By:
Henderson in yesterday's Weekender: blah blah blah.............Neptune, Coral Cup & Martin Pipe, with the latter the most likely at this stage.
By:
Martin Pipe judging from this quote;
“I think there might only be a 10lb weight range in the Martin Pipe with this horse off top weight. Had a bad trach wash in the winter so he hasn’t run since December and will be very fresh and is very well.”” |
