thats the thing , a few £10 doubles and you dont notice it, never know could be a few £000 / £000 coming back !

Not sure 2/1 about HF is value at this moment in time until we know exactly what the current issue is with the horse.  GC on the other hand appears value and if he gets there in 1 piece is bound to be much shorter come the day.  Why double them up ???

My concern with this bet would not only be HF and his setback,but also the horses we have yet to see out as regards the RSA,plus its being suggested in certain quarters that GC may not even run in the race,although personally i think its definitely the race for him.
I also just think its far too early for doubles at Cheltenham,for me anyway.

To be going off at 1/2, we'd have to be rating Hurricane Fly about as good as Istabraq. Clearly he's the reigning champ and a fine horse but are we really there yet?

Grand Crus makes more sense, but whilst I can see him going off close to evens, Time For Rupert was only 7/4 with a very similar profile.

Best of luck though, as you say, they could be those prices.

tweedle......given laddies go 6s on grand cru and other firms go 7-2,4s..id say there is value in the trade as its poss he could go 2s imo.
granted you name 2 potentially serious rival ,and a mystery horse[hopefully not the same 1 im keen on!]but if grand cru continues to win he will shorten.

that said given l addies connections with stable,do we assume there are bigger because they know something you dont....ala jewsons chase?

If they both turn up you have got a really good bet on your hands.

However, I'm sure your ar$e will be going quite a few times between now and March with the Fly's record and Grands Crus' Gold Cup entry.  FWIW, I hope they both turn up in the races you've mentioned!!
