I think it is a fair assessment of the race, looked like running away from them turning into the straight. He was better suited by weight and trip conditions yet he allowed Joncol to gallop past him at a time when Nolans horses are all needing their return run and Nolan was on record saying as much at the time. Whilst it was encouraging in so far as it being his best looking race for quite some time when you pick it apart it was pretty disappointing - id be leaving him alone and be dead keen to take him on wherever he goes next.

Mullins' horses were actually out of form at the time, he has had several winners since.
I avtually recall Nolans interview in the dau of the race and he said Joncol has been training well and they had had no hiccups compared to previous seasons. But I agree in that it is a fair assesment of the race, Cooldine did look like winning only to weaken out of it. Maybe it was fitness, or maybe he is just not what he once was. |

i couldnt back a horse that hasnt won for so long, and im sure theres way more horses that have more in hand of their handicap mark that are goin for the hennessy
