After yesterday and seeing my 2nd fav horse, hurricane fly hack up again ( Fav is the future king Sprinter Scare ) ive decided to strike while the irons hot and place a decent sized wager on chelt 2012.
£ 100 trixie
Hurricane fly 7-4 Big Bucks evens Long run 3-1
All are at the correct age for even more improvement and scope to rule there divisions for several more years. All will target the the race/s with no chance of late change of minds from connections. the races seem to have very little strength in depth at this stage.I plan on topping up monthly from now till next march and simply hope there all get there fit and well on the day.
I know there short prices and it seems obvious and a long time to wait but im sure the vouchers will keep me warm over winter I did the same thing years ago with best mate 5-1, moscow flyer 5-1 double winning 6k, hoping for lightening to strike twice !! after backing hurricane fly at 110-1 on here the first year he missed the festival i hope he owes me one.
And Sprinter Sacre notice how PP are shortest for the Arkle? I requested a price for him before this years festival in case he won the Supreme or ran like he did. They gave me 25/1 After his debut over hurdles behind Frascati I said to our dad next years Arkle without a doubt, and every run since has made me even more convinced, just hope I'm right
Agree blinding treble. And Sprinter Sacre notice how PP are shortest for the Arkle? I requested a price for him before this years festival in case he won the Supreme or ran like he did. They gave me 25/1 After his debut over hurdles behind Frascati
yeah you have to worry about injury! also can you see hurricane fly being shorter than 7/4 on the day? No value in long run either! Good luck but bit of a lottery bet for me.

If he gets there fit and well Hurricane fly will be well odds on, just like my namesake, after winning his first champion hurdle at a decent price his next 2 were heavily odds on.....what the hell will get near the fly !!!!! def the best hurdler since istabraq and like him he ll rule for a season or 2 yet, if he is 7-4 on the day then he s lost a leg....more like 2-5.

Hurricane fly is my favourite horse and backed it at the fest, but coupon makes a good point about big bucks, has dominated its division and still wasnt odds on at the festival! 2-5 hurricane, no chance, you never know how much improvement others will make over the course of the season!

If I learned one thing more than any other this year, it's that you're better off waiting until the day for the majority of ante-post bets at Cheltenham - especially on the shorter-priced horses.
To tie yourself to a trixie at this stage of the game seems a bit silly to me, especially seeing as though Hurricane Fly has been very injury prone over the years, Long Run might well have been flattered in a very fast-ground Gold Cup that fell apart around him, and there is of course still the slim possibility that Big Buck's will go over fences again one day.
I actually backed two of those three this time (I didn't back BB) so am not crabbing them unduly - just feel there is absolutely no value whatsoever in your bet at this stage.

anyone who takes less than 9-2 for any horse at this stage needs to look at themselves imho. while these horses are likely to turn up on the day their prices will not contract until sept/oct,so,why give the firms or a layer the opportunity to take your money for free? that said, for every backer theres a layer ...
