Just a quick flick through- done pretty well all told, especially as these stats are there to be shot at. Bit subjective in grading these, but still a very worthwhile buy each year.

bad year for stats what about a 6 yr old winning gold cup,thats says it all about stats you take the ones you like and ignore the others,montjeu winning 2,irish winning 13,inexperienced horse winning triumph,etc,etc

gold cup excellent surely he falls down on the 1st 2,age,good course form,even 3 as only 1 amateur jockey has won

If you backed every short-listed horse in the email updates, you would have done pretty well.

There were a total of 98 horses short-listed, showing a profit at SP of just over £23 to a £1 level stake.  These included Holmwood Legend at 25/1 (Betfair SP 39.81) and Zemsky at 33/1 (Betfair SP 85.0). 

And no, I didn't back them all.  Mostly the losers Sad!

or to put it another way if babby run hadn,t fallen you,d have lost over the meeting Laugh, and that after betting on 98 horses over 27 races [;)]

no doubt the stats boys will be gutted at not landing the 40 to 1 shot in the last and will tin ker with the stats for next year to get it in the net [;)]

what makes you so sure Baby Run would've won if he'd stood up? Even the jockey thought he might not have won anyway.

Herons Well was going at least as well as Baby Run when he unseated also.
