Tough week...just back home. Here's roughly how it went:

Tuesday

Had to wait until the 4th race on Tuesday to get on the board, courtesy of Hurricane Fly, and managed to pick up the NAP bet on Quevega. Just missed out with Garde Champetre in the Cross Country Chase. 2 winners, but came out ahead due to decent wagers on the two wins.

Wednesday

Very bad day - no winners. Big disappontment was the NAP bet of Time For Rupert. Well down on the day.

However, there was a silver lining (not for me), as Oliver, another JOCI Club member had a day of a lifetime, managing to get 6 winners and a 2nd place, and also managed to get a line up on the placepot, so did very very well (freakishly in fact).

Thursday

Bit of an improvement. Wss in defensive betting mode after Wednesday's losses, and trying to edge my way back to respectability. Again had to wait until the 4th race for Big Buck's to land a nice NAP bet (after seeing Wishfull Thinking touched off in the opener). Followed this up with a nice win on Junior in the finale. Two wins, and ahead on the day.

Friday

Nice day today - got two places in the opener (Unaccompanied & Sam Winner) and thankfully, the MCR Hurdle form came through for me with Final Approach's win in the 2nd. Managed to land a nice wager on Bob's Worth. Also backed Long Run to win the Gold Cup (actually a backup bet to Imperial Commander). Sadly, NAP bet Baby Run managed to tip up when leading two out in the Foxhunters, Made amends by backing Sir Des Champs in the next, but nowhere near finding a winner in the last. Four winners and a couple of places on the day, and a nice profit.

Overall, Wednesday was sufficiently bad, that despite three other winning days, I was unable to break even overall, but in the end, I'm pleased to have made a huge recovery on Thursday and Friday, and I actually managed to hit my target number of wins (8 for the week).
