2 months between races mate and massive improvement show by Join Together easily explains that. OH! plus he would blow wind up Bob Worth;s backside which might have something to do with it as well[;)]

Cheers man.
I had two 3000/1 trebles riding on him today. Had so many i/r lays up from 5.0 down to 1.1 and loads matched as he traded as low as 2.5 First Lieutenant, Sizing Europe, Tranquil Sea, Mossley e/w 4 fold and trebles. But Tranquil was a n/r. I was trembling as they came to the last. Unreal festvial it's been had Hurricane Fly , Bensalem, Quevega, Divers, First Lieutenant, Sizing Europe, Big Bucks, Bobs Worth, Long Run, Sir Des Champs and 8+ Irish winners. Plus e/w Hurricane Fly Kauto double and i/r lays on Zeb, Kauto who traded odds on and Mossley bring in plenty. |

Thanks guys. I think the big effort that went into this years festival paid off. Last years final 2 days murdered me, only odds on Big Bucks was a winner.
Had the winner of the 4 championship races which was a first and very welcome, it really is great to cheer home the winners in those races. Even though Sizing was indirectly bet as a 120/1 double with First Lieutenant. Hurricane Fly though really made the festival. I'd traveled over specifically to see him and had 4 winners that day. I've followed Fly since his novice days and he has had 7 wins from 8 for me. Punchestown last year was special as I kept backing him again and again, same thing with him in the Champion Hurdle this year, after Cue Card lost meaning Menorah has zero form this season I hit him again. It's been a true pleasure following that horse I can tell you. Lets hope Binocular comes over to take him on at Punchestown. I think a picture of Fly deserves to join Mosocow Flyer, Kauto Star and Denman on my wall. |

Well done CV i have followed your comments on some of the threads and at times you have had a bit of flack. Glad you had a good Cheltenham, i don't always agree with what you say, but Racing is all about opinions or we would all back the same horses.Getting another opinion gives you another perspective on some races. The Fly did look special and i loved the Gold Cup as Denman and Kauto turned into straight followed by Long Run a trulelt great race, only problem i backed Imperial.

Thanks again, racing is about opinions and we get some right and some wrong. I was totally wrong about Peddlers for example, never thought he'd finish within 10l of Fly but he is a true warrior. Last years festival I seemed to get everything wrong, I felt totally demoralised this day last year.
The Champion Hurdle is a race love, I have now had 6 winners since Istabraq's days. Rooster Booster, Hardy Eustace 2nd time, Brave Inca, Katchit, Punjabi and now Hurricane Fly in the past 10 years. Love that race for a reason. Oh and news is Imperial burst a blood vessel which was unfortunate. |

IP commander burst???

Got to admit i burst a blood vessel as he was dropping out.

the latest update comes from Nigel Twiston-Davies who says: "He burst a blood vessel but is fine apart from that. It must have happened at the top of the hill as he made a mistake at the next fence. He won't run again this season."
