Exactly ... let's not have this tedious over ambition next season as usual when said horses cant even go on to win their novice race. Novices must go for their nominated novice championship over-ambitious connections fall on their face time and again looking silly by the end of the season and must wish they hadnt opened their mouths. Cue Card another example.

It may be obvious to us but we get this tedium every year ... they have to sell papers by encouraging quotes from connections and hyping novices for the Championship races every year before they flop. Bookies must love it when the trade paper attracts free money to them in bets on novices for the Gold Cup/Champion Hurdle.
