Connections seem to think not.

His run last season on decent ground when beating Weapons Amnesty (who went onto win the RSA) suggests they should at least have a go in what is an open looking contest.

Not worth risking on unsuitable ground, more to life than Cheltenham esp for a horse this talented

Not worth risking on unsuitable ground

Half of the Irish runners yesterday were said to be up against it due to the ground, and we know what happened there.

You should try at least once I think, wouldnt be the 1st time a trainer got it completely wrong that the horse cant go on the going
Report SatelliteFlight March 17, 2011 7:21 PM GMT
He needs the rain to come
Report sj March 17, 2011 7:26 PM GMT
I love the horse, think he could be the one
Report SatelliteFlight March 17, 2011 7:27 PM GMT
big fan too, had a right lump on him for the Lexus @ 10s, if the ground was softer i would be backing him
Report WorkOnIt March 17, 2011 7:28 PM GMT
Yeah, I love this horse too, sj.

Have thought he was this years winner since last Spring.

Would be a huge kick in the balls if he is a NR tomorrow.
Report sj March 17, 2011 7:35 PM GMT
I've backed him at 14-1 NRNB last night with the rumours of the rain, but until they raced on it I'm not so sure. Case in point Nicholls telling us Sam Winner needs soft ground, until they've gone on it you just dont know. Another one Grand Crus today I thought the ground would be way too quick for him
Report dogbolter March 17, 2011 8:46 PM GMT
I wouldnt rule him out on good ground, but if the rain doesnt hit the course and the official going is 'good' it'll clearly be more like good/firm. Trainer knows that too hence he won't run.

I'm off to the garden to do a rain dance.....

Pandorama annihilated a bunch of Meades horses on the all weather at Dundalk before Christmas

Who the horses were I'dont know, but the money for him on the day of the Lexus might be a clue

The horse has bin working the house down since from what I have heard. It needs rain however so hold fire till you know how ground is riding
Report carlowman March 17, 2011 10:08 PM GMT
