As Oscars Wilde might have put it, To have one fall in the RSA looks likes misfortune, to lose two in such a manner looks like carelessness

Mikaels fall today was practically an exact replica of his fall in the drinmore, he seems to be having problems on his left front leg, thats twice now it seems to have buckled under him after jumping a fence perfectly

Ironically Quel Esprit (which I backed) had jumped better than anything else in the race up to the point it decided to try and uproot the whole fence. I kept a close eye on it through the race and time and time again it was taking lengths out of the other principals at its fences. The way I read it was that the horse had maybe started to just tire a little, the same as last time out) when it fell. It reminded me a bit of old Barton Bank which was an incredibly flamboyant jumper 90% of the time but when it made a mistake it tended to be a bad one.
