mine will be getting up at 6.30am tommorow buying the r.post ,send the kids to school watch the morning line ,3 hours of more form study, atr on the box ,take the phone off the hook ,dont answer any knocks on the door last thing you need is the jehovas wittnesses,have a good supply of betting slips and a healthy wad of cash ,tea ,coffeee,on tap a few beers in the ccoler and get ready for the action to start ........as good as it gets

My first day of holiday today. I'll be getting up at 7:30am tomorrow to run the better half into work leaving me with peace and quiet for the days action. Tune into the Morning Line in hope that all my selections are well and to disagree with the panalists opinions. Already have all my anteposts on and will only be going out around 11:00am to put my placepot in my local Stan Jimmy's. Copious amounts of tea as I don't drink alcohol (not religious, I just don't do it anymore). Hopefully I'll have some interesting bets leading into day two. Regardless it will be brilliant.

mine is a mixture of the 2 above....but it's about this time now that i actually want time to slow down and i try to savour it all even now....the anticipation and excitement is incredible.....when it starts it really does go very quickly.

Hi - get up at 07:15 - get rpost + rolls - dont study form just back PRICEWISE as always and try and get the best prices and curse when you see that he is tipping against his antepost picks. Wait until 12:00 and get my other tipster that i follow and by 12:10 set off to meet the boys treat them to lunch on the tuesday as thats when i have definitely got some cash. During lunch we put our placepot together and then pop of to PPOWER to put our bets on and our bets in the SUPREME. After the placepot is done we will then look at my antepost book and we all try and figure out how i can have so many different tips in the same races.
Anyway good luck to all same again on the wed/thu/fri apart from me buying the lunches unless i have a good tue etc |

Up 7am, brekky in hotel with the bible, 8.30 morning line, 10am drive to course.

9o`clock ferry,2 hour drive,wifed drops me off in town,walk up the Evesham Road,dodge the gypsies and boylespot girls and every other hawkster .through the gates and walk into Tatts,stop and think how lucky i am to be here then up to the Golden Miller bar for a glass of bubbles ,go outside and pat the great horses statue and then let battle commence

Wake up at about 4.00 in the morning, too excited, so wont be able to get back to sleep. Mates picks me up at 6, drive to chelters. Breakfast in Peppers at about 8.30 in Chelters

Up AT 6 AM..drive down to Eastbourne..park up on seafront and go for a walk thinking about my bankers for the week mainly Time For Rupert and Big Bucks. Cooked breaky on seafront and come back home for about 1pm..I always find that last half hour drags like hell..then let battle commence!!!!

Up at 5.30am, won't buy a post, too easy to read something that might make me doubt my selection in each race, hop on a train to Paddington, meet up with the boys, get a Sausage & Egg McMuffin and 4 cans each, argue furiously on the way down with each other about who we fancy, fall out, make up again, arrive at Cheltenham Spa, into town to stick on the placepot and get a nice pint out of a proper glass, up to the course, smoke about 40 **** waiting for the first! Can't wait! :)

Walk dogs 6.30 am to 8.15 am , watch Morning Line , all bets are on , so do naps for annual comp 6x£65 to winner . Mess around till 11am , ride horse (Well Chief lookalike ), video Channel 4 ( with back-up video in case ) , phone is off , walk dogs till 4.30pm , pour beer and settle down . One bastard bites if I get too exited so have to watch with sound down ( except when long at 25s BBs first WH , happy to be bitten ! ). Did umpteen years as annual member with seats , more profitable this way .

I'll be up at 6.30am. Have full English. Shower, get ready and then head off to New Street Station with my better half.
Get a RP on the way, nod knowingly at my better half when Gerald picks all my ante post selections. 10am train. Arrive at Cheltenham at c.10.40. Straight onto the bus and arrive at the course at c.11am. Rejoice as I walk through the entrance and wonder if anyone else can hear my soul singing. Have a wonder round for an hour, my excitement growing all the time. Decide to have a drink to settle me down. Get a good position for the first race....they're off!!! |
