With the decs in and the ground unlikely to change I see the race as follows.  Overturn is 90% to make the running- Mccain will not
want a slow pace for peddlers and Overturn is a natural front runner.  The 2m track favours front runners especially on good ground
and I can see Overturn holding on for a place. Peddlers cross will slot in in the first 4 use his decisive turn of foot after the second
last to put the race to bed, he may mess about a bit in front but there is never a sniff of him letting anything past. Menorah with
the ground right for him may make a challenge at some point approching the last.
Result 1.PEDDLERS CROSS
             2. OVERTURN                      Memorable 1-2 for MCCAIN and my bank balance.

You called it almost right except that Hurricane Fly will come there at the last hard on the steel and win doing handstands.  H2H.

denman you're talking b ollocks. hardy eustace and istabraq both used the neptune and peddlers is very like hardy eustace, grinders in essence...i think peddlers will win but hurricane is definitely the danger

Why do people have to resort to abuse and bad language if they disagree with someone elses opinion? That is what Cheltenham and racing in general is all about - opinions!

hurricane flys form with solwit makes him not within 7lb of peddlers,
peddlers wins hurricane blown away.
Report ZEALOT March 13, 2011 8:35 PM GMT

Ive backed Menorah and Peddlers Cross but fear Hurricane Fly. He,s the unknown, different ground, pace but the lack of course form puts me off.
And Glossy your right, the internet turns little men into keyboard warriors, planks. I believe in being polite and talking intresting debates but just ignore the keyboard warriors as id put the nut on them if they spoke to me like that on the street. But on here ignore them, there insignificant

peddlers frequently gives overturn 12lbs in home gallops and runs over the top of him,the formline when binocular beat a not 100% fit overturn and was made fav for champion hurdle is misleading.
solwhit was beaten 18 l by binocular at cheltenham and i think irish form the last 2 years has been overhyped due to past glorys.
peddlers has winning form at chelt goes on any ground, hurricane flys best form has been with a lot of cut in the ground,
i have been laying binocular for the champion since he beat overturn as the stable were surprised overturn could finish so close,
peddlers is in a different league to overturn and i will now be laying hurricane fly heavily.
the race where luska lad finished upsides solwhit makes me think that hurricane fly has been overated,
but its all about opinions.
Report sj March 13, 2011 9:10 PM GMT
Yeah cos Hurricane Fly is always pushed out to the line isnt he? Jesus christ How on earth can you tell how far the Fly would beat Solwhit pushed out?
Report jlay72 March 13, 2011 9:12 PM GMT
For me it's Menorah but if you fancy him you've got to fancy Cue Card in the Supreme novices. However there's been a few short priced favs who have been beaten. I quite like Al Ferof as an e/way bet.
Report flushgordon March 13, 2011 9:20 PM GMT
and will probably lay menorah also as the form of handicapper bothy is not top class,
and the beating of cue card and silvacino conti who has not franked the form at all makes me feel he is another hyped up horse by bookmakers ,
the form of the supreme has not really been upheld by the others in the field ,but the neptune that peddlers won i think was a bit stonger.
Report evra March 13, 2011 9:22 PM GMT
flushgordon if u think that was solwhits true running in last seasons ch then your a bigger fool than i thought, would u not suggest his aintree hurdle win was decent form?or are u just picking and choosing form to suit your arguement
Report flushgordon March 13, 2011 9:29 PM GMT
beat united just over 3 lengths ?
fiveforthree and al eile dont make the form up to much either i dont see where your coming from evra.
Report flushgordon March 13, 2011 9:32 PM GMT
the same united that was beaten 14 length by quevega at cheltenham.if you think im the fool back hurricane i shall be laying it till the off and probably through the race as well.

I cant see hurricane fly hosing up on Tuesday at his FIRST visit to england let alone cheltenham. he will have to be every bit as good as they say he is to finish in front of menorah and peddlers cross. I wouldnt be at all surprised to see mullins second string thousand stars finish in front of his stable mate. Fascinating race in prospect.
Report Flagship2 March 13, 2011 9:34 PM GMT
I was finding it hard to get away from Menorah but the Hobbs stable is in absolutely no form. No winners from last 25 runners and no wins for a couple of weeks. Within this time 6 favs turned over = no thanks now.

Kyber Kim e/w is the bet for me - 14/1 good value. Represents last years Champ Hurdle and looked to be goinf well behind Binocular. Had a nice break since a race we can forget when NTD out of form.
Report evra March 13, 2011 9:38 PM GMT
good luck with that,we shall see who'll have the last laugh

Quinz ran alright for Hobbs just 2 weeks ago, wouldn't be too worried about stable form.
For me with Bino missing, Hurricane Fly is the one they all have to beat. Can see Ruby stalking until the last then flying up the hill.
Had a small bet on Oscar whiskey at 16s (a few wks ago) but kinda hope he doesn't win as really don't want to see NJH in the winners enclosure after the Binocular debacle!

It's almost as if the horse cant win cos he's never raced at Cheltenham. Some negative to have against the horse

I wouldn't take a win from two + weeks ago to satisfy the trainer is in form, when there have been over 25 runners since....its a no unless they pop up with a winner or two before the race.
Shame as I would be a backer without this.

20/22 winners had been to cheltenham before thats my point im not saying he wont win just stating a fact if its any consolation menorah cant win on the since a run stat either 25/25 ran within 51 days. PEDDLERS CROSS seems to have an ideal profile, the stats are there to be broke though.

good luck

I have to stick with Hurricane Fly. He may have only beaten Solwhit but the Irish Champion Hurdle was a real race against fit horses. Not taking anything way from Peddlar's but the Grade 1 seniors he won was against an unfit Binocular. Menorah another lovely horse but he won a handicap and beat 2 novices which is along way off Champion Hurdle form. We'll know tomorrow Good Luck all.

If there is a brilliant winner it could be Hurricane Fly or maybe Menorah.

I have a doubt about Hurricane Fly going down the hill and up on good ground - not many Montjeu's really like going not at least good to soft or even better softer. I know he has won an good but this is a true test and everything needs to be right for whatever wins it. I suspect Oscar and Peddlers ideally need further than 2 miles and so for me its between Mille Chief and Menorah.

Is a tough race though.
