I'm happy with that, although it does leave ap to ride the other yak

It just goes to show the pinch of salt you must take these preview nights. The majority of preview nights stated that BG would ride Spirit Son, but the first couple of nights said that he would be on Sprinter Sacre. I almost went in and I feel lucky I didn't.

hardly a big surprise it always felt like bg was leaning that way. mr powah is the place for supreme bets given the concession.

All the top trainers and jocks seem to think that Cue Card is a certainty. If riding Spirit Son is the price that BG had to pay to ride Finnians Rainbow in the Arkle, then that is a very pragmatic decision.

I don't care what horse you are on, it is far easier to lose the Supreme than to win it. Wide open as far as i'm concerned.

Absolutely

Supreme always has a frenzied aspect to it and any reflection of former runnings sees that it's always choc full of subsequently high class horses.

If Menorah is an average winner then strictly on form, Cue Card hasn't shown a winner's form yet.

Barry riding Spirit Son and saying it was the hardest call of his career hardly makes Sprinter Sacre a "yak" as someone put it. There's also the small matter that Sprinter Sacre as a so-called A P McCoy on it. Could easily see either or winning it. Cue Card has two major stats against him - record of shorties in this (12 of last 15 under 3-1 beat) and the fact he hasn't ran for so long (10 of last 11 ran within 45 days). Fancy either of Henderson's or Zaidpour to turn him over.
