MIKAEL D HAUGUENET TARGET AT FESTIVAL

I took a bit of a punt on this horse recently, he was entered in the sun alliance chase, the arkle and the world hurdle, I decided to have a punt on him running in the arkle rather than the RSA or the world hurdle as to me it seemed to make a lot more sense.

At the time he was 70,s for the arkle and 16 for the RSA chase but he just didnt seem to get home in his last race having travelled superbly in the race, we all know the horse has lots of talent but it seems for one reason or another he just hasnt clicked over fences as yet, My theory was a fast run two miles in the arkle might suit and whatsmore it looks a pooor race anyway so why not, plus the combination of trip and speed of race may help him, as per My Way De Solzen.

I noticed this morning that he is now into 28-1 for the arkle, perhaps the trainer is now of the same opinion, its too talented to get wrecked int he RSA chase and the arkle is much weaker.

The 70,s would be reward for a bit of decent thinking if he does go there, that of course may still not be the case, I just thought if he is going to run in one of the three races he was entered in then that would be the best option in my opinion.

Oh by the way one other one to look for next week is BARIZAN if it runs in the Martin Pipe Hurdle ew, dropped way down the handicap and trainer has stated its back to something like its best in its recent work......
