Menorah (Supreme winners always come with a big rep and flop, what is it - 45 years since one has come back and won the year after?)
Time for Rupert Poquelin |
By:
Hope your wrong about Poquelin - he is my biggest bet at this stage!
By:
Hurricane Fly (a place)
Zaidpour (a place) Tranquil Sea (a place) |
By:
Peddlars Cross
Grand Crus Chicago grey |
By:
Grand Crus - over reaction to last race (tidal bay last yr)
Menorah - debatable form (SC stinker LTO) Supreme novice form aint great. Kauto - too old, wont place. Never suited chelt despite to (poor GCs). For the record backed him both times but sentiment goes out the window this yr. In that order |

Hurricane fly Long run |
By:
cue card - fails key trends and is very short anyway
kauto star - love the horse but doesnt win this year im afraid kalahari king - always seems to be backed and never seems to deliver |
By:
some very silly picks here .
Lay all the favs for a place in handicaps - c'est tout |
By:
First time i'm backing Kalahari King seen as Ferdy's been so kind to run him at his optimum trip [;)]

Top 3 in worst Arkle in 20 years.
By:
I was looking at the Arkle yesterday evening.
I haven't got a bet on it at all and was thinking the same along the lines of how poor a renewal it was. Must be some huge value in there somewhere, but don't know where to start. |
By:
must the the worst arkle for quite some imo
By:
This year's Arkle can't be judged until after the race! Medermit is pretty exposed, but Finian's Rainbow could be anything! His last run wasn't great, but excuses could easily be found, and if he pops round in a decent time he could be one for next year!

Master Minded Time for rupert bear ![]() |

By:
Pandorama a place in the Gold Cup is another decent lay I reckon; talented but soft as **** and will never hold his own in a notoriously tough race!
By:
Vibes not good dwm767 about pando I agree and lets face it you need to be on your game. They aren't barking his name are they?
By:
dwm767 "medermit is pretty exposed". Yes I agree, by a million miles the likeliest winner on profile.
By:
dwm767 'medermit exposed' 'pandorama soft' utterly absurd imo!!!

Grand Crus Win Lay
Master Minded Win Lay Zaidpour Place Lay ![]() |
By:
I think they might be running him for the experience, I can't honestly believe they think he's got a strong chance...as you say, we'd of heard about it by now!
Medermit is the most likely winner on profile; Nicholls locked Ghizao away after his last Newbury win, and Henderson's clearly protecting Finians Rainbow! |
By:
pando is better than kempes and has form thru weapons amnesty which gives him a great chance against long run. when u consider the age of kauto and denman he has to be a decent bet
By:
Ghizao has not enough class to win an Arkle imo dwm 767
By:
He is a loser in my book.
By:
I agree, ive not got the feeling he's anything special! I'm not sure Medermit is that classy either though, but I do think he's been campaigned brilliantly by Alan King, he hasn't tried to protect his reputation, he's put in in hard races against some good horses and I think that experience makes him favourite...although ive backed Finians Rainbow!!

Binocular
Imperial Commander Mikael D'Haguenet (either race) |
By:
big zeb. won last year beating the 1st and 2nd from the previous seasons desperate arkle, with masterminded flopping badly in 4th. a very ordinary champion chase winner. and will be the worst double champion in history. can not have this horse winning again
big zeb. for reasons explained above big zeb. for reasons explained above |

Nearly put Big Zeb in too ;)

Grands Crus.

Finians Rainbow
Binocular Long Run whoops a certain trainer will not be happy !!!!!!!!!!!! |
By:
KalahariK, MickaelDH and Long Run are good shouts. As is Chicago Grey, I failed to understand why this is at the top of the market when studying the race the other day.

hurricane fly ,place lay - has virtually no chance
Cue Card - Form hasn't worked out. He ain't that good. Kauto star- place lay- hate to say anything negative about the great horse buts looks on the decline |
By:
Tinkler how can you say HF has virtually no chance, come on! If you're gonna use the 'never run at chelts' or he's by Montjeu excuses then you'll deserve to get burned!
By:
Dermo
All he does is keep beating Solwit on soft ground apart from once on good ground when he only just beat solwit. Solwit was beaten out of sight in last years CH. The horse has weak form and the CH will expose him. Peddlers Cross is in a class apart. Good luck if you've backed HF you'll need it. |
By:
its been said many times on here before anbout Solwhit and last yrs champ hurdle so not goin into it again...I'll be a backer at 11/2 remember the horse would have in all likelihood been a short priced fav for last yrs renewal given that Go Native was the 11/4f
