Personlly, I hope connections go for the Supreme.
She's the only mare in that race now. |
By:
I too hope its the Supreme as I have her at 95's the win and 14.5 the place !!!
By:
Hi guys, fingers crossed, I really fancy her in the supreme with her sex allowance.[;)]
By:
im on in supreme at 60s. she has looked lightning quick in her 2 hurdle runs! fingers crossed
By:
She meets a lot of trends for this race and I would go as far to say, having watched her two runs across the sea, I see her as a fantastic "back to lay" opportunity. She will blaze away up front and I hope Davy can judge it right.
Tommy Stack knows the time of day and I hope he runs this daughter of Sinndar, flat bred on this likely good ground. I am so excited ![]() |

"Tommy Stack knows the time of day and I hope he runs this daughter of Sinndar"
last time i checked she was a daughter of GALILEO [;)] |
By:
Big caveat on the ground though. Trainer has repeatedly said (flat and hurdles) that she cant have it soft enough. Unlikely good to soft for first race will be anywhere near deep enough. Like the trailblazing back to lay angle though as she will definitely go off mad in front and doubt anything will be able (or want) to take her on.

evra my apologies for mixing up one great sire with another, but my point was made

By:
yort, the ground will be perfect, it won't be quick, and as stated, I personally reckon she could be better on good ground. Watch that last flat race, she acts on it alright.

lol just pulling your leg,i only pointed it out before someone else did

03Feb11 Clonmel ( 16 Sft/Hy ,RPR137 )
She got an infection in a joint and was standing in for a fortnight. The rest might have done her good! She loves that ground, she can`t get it soft enough. Where she goes after this depends on the ground really.-T Stack, trainer. I agree she'll probably handle it but testing ground clearly brings out the best in her and inconveniences other which is highly unlikely next week |
By:
I will cling to the fact yort that flat breds will come into their own on honest good ground. She is way over-priced.
By:
Thats fair enough and i'm always surprised by how trainers have pre conceived notions of what their horses need re trip/ground only to be proved completely wrong. Best of luck with her
By:
Thanks mate and I appreciate your research
![]() Who do you fancy here, I'm massively against cue card, so I'm open to suggestions. |
By:
I think its a bit of a lottery tbh. No idea how good either of those two Henderson beasts may turn out to be. Cue Cards light campaign may find him out in terms of experience and battle hardiness9 but i still wouldnt be a layer at 9/4 or 5/2 given his course form . I think of the Irish challenge, Hidden Universe interests me much more than Zaidpour (he had Zaidpour well outpaced last time before tiring on the gorund) but confidence in him is tempered by an unexplained poor run at chelt last year. If i was forced to play it would be on Dunraven storm at current prices with the expectation to trade out much shorter come race time Tuesday.
By:
Willie does seem very bullish about Zaidpour and I think there are a lot of short memories about him. He will be a winner in my book along with Spirit Son, Recession Proof and, of course, Magen's Star

By:
Yep he is very bullish but if hes wrong and Zaidpour runs poorly id take that as a very bad omen for the chances of Hurricane Fly in the champion
By:
Totally with you there yort. I don't reckon the Hurricane vibes are that great (and I'm with him).
By:
Sadly enough I may not be able to resist a small win double on Zaidpour and Fly just to not feel like a fool if the Zaidpour hype coming from the yard turns out to be true. I'm a sucker for a good bit of hype!
By:
Remember he was 5/2 for this at one point. Class will out as they say and I would think he is good value with a vulnerable favourite.
By:
Zaidpour 9s/H Fly 5s with VC. tasty 59/1 hype double there for ye
By:
There would be worse bets! Put the proceeds on First Lieutenant in the Neptune for an 800/1 treble[;)]Looking forward to him too.

The back-to-lay angle is tricky to play when there is a strong fav in the race like Cue Card.
Last year, I played FLAT OUT B2L - had £20 on at 33.0 anticipating laying-off at about 6.2 - and the horse never traded below 24's despite never being out of the 1st-3 till the 2nd last flight. Came in 5th. |
By:
Magens star really catches the eye especially with the allowance, and mares have done quite well here, irish trained to which helps the trends, ground gotta be a worry tho, but will have to be my one against the fav if she shows in the supreme, will be surprised if she takes on Quevega.

SK
Was at the Towcester Preview last night, Kieran Packman ( Timeform ) seemed adamant she would run in the Mares race and put her up as the bet in the race at 20s NRNB |
By:
I'm getting the vibe from the market that she will run in the opener[:D]
Come on Magen you star ![]() |
