^^^That's what I'm thinking - never thought I'd see the day when Big Bucks was 11/8 in any stayers hurdle race

also going 6/5 Quevega, double pays just over 4-1!! Would prefer it if she'd had a run though

I've taken the plunge,

£40 for the double.  That's probably coppers compared to some bets people claim to do on here, but it's massive for me!!

The lads on the double, have a small saver on Our Girl Salley in the mares race, she's a right good mare and the only one that could possibly put it up to Quevega but i'd still be shocked if Quevega was turned over

hold fire on Big Bucks if i were you, will be 6/4 tomorrow and possibly 13/8 7/4 by the weekend,Lads and Hills are determined to take him on and Our Girl sally is a good horse, but not on the same planet as Quevega

quevega wil win by a street, v weak division , likewise the stayers, same as always imo, both win easy!

Maybe Bet365 5/4 NRNB and BOG is a better bet?

will the going become a factor here?

I dunno. The bookies seem to be out after him for whatever reason. I wouldn't be surprised if he drifted slightly further.

The hype surrounding Grands Crus' one run is unbelievable Shocked

To be honest I was tempted with the 365, B.O.G and NRNB on both, but I can see them going off much shorter, but thats the risk of ante post betting.

I think the money will come for Big Bucks nearer the time.  I think the price for Grands Crus shortening today is purely because of David Pipe giving an upbeat bulletin.  Big Bucks has been a pretty much unbackable price for about two years, until now.

As for Quevega, I think she will go off odds on.  The lack of a run would be a worry for me if she didn't do it last year; and I think this is looking like a weaker mares hurdle than last year, without any Voler La Verdette.  One of my friends is really keen on Our Girl Salley, but I think she'd have to improve an awful lot.

My main worry would something happening to Quevega rather than the price drifting.

Good luck to all

I think the rationale is ' improvement ' , BBs 30th race versus GCs 9th , younger horse and both equally impressive off similar marks in their respective Cleeves . BBs rating is unchanged over the last two years , ok that reflects the horses style of running but you can see some sense in it.

big bucks backers, price seems to good to be true but i think this is the stiffest test he has faced so far, seems a bit uneasy to me ,nicholls did say that if big bucks were beaten in world hdle it would not be too bad as he could then persuede a.stewert to aim him for the gold cup next season ,maybe tounge in cheek remark but i would be  a bit cautious ,
