Who has Menorah beaten to be a 5-1 shot for a Champion Hurdle? Two novices and Bothy?
Get Me Out Of Here, Dunguib, Oscar Whisky...any of them grade one winners this year? Last year's Supreme - who has it thrown up please? |

Ballydoyle, how good was last year's Champion Hurdle!? What's any horse from that race really done this season!? I guess you're pinning your hopes on Hurricane Fly...what's he done this season!? Where Solwhit at Cheltenham!?
By:
Dwm767 why are you knocking Solwhit? Make no mistake he is one of the best hurdlers in training.
He may not be in love with Cheltenham but you put Solwhit in any race on a flat track against any horse and they will know they have had a race. This horse has taken the scalps of 2 Champion Hurdle winner's and some would say it should have been 3 if you think Sizing Europe was unlucky to break down at a crucial stage. I don't think you realize just how good a horse Hurricane Fly is but AP and Nicky Henderson are under no illusions and know he is the one they all have to beat |

Amusing how people look at your username and automatically think you're irish and even still, on the irish nag.
I'm not Irish but I am on Hurricane Fly, Binocular and Peddlers Cross from way back. And correct me if I'm wrong, was the original question not relating to last year's Supreme Novices? If you want to bring Hurricane Fly into it, how many lengths was Dunguib, 3rd behind Menorah in the Supreme, beaten by Hurricane Fly in April? |

menorah was giving bothy 30lb for god sake.and before menorah thrashed him cue card was the so called wonder horse he should be fav hes unbeaten at chelts loves a fast pace and is younger than bino too best hurdler ive ever seen bar drever menorah is

But how many horses have you called monsters before they get stuffed?

I apologise Ballydoyle, but it's become clear on this forum that anyone who knocks Menorah is on Hurricane Fly; they're all at it!!
I think I know how good Hurricane Fly is, but I wouldn't touch the 11/2 current price! I have no doubt he's a very good animal, but he's up against an exceptional one in Menorah, and id question if you realise how good he is!? Especially around Cheltenham, he's in love with the place! Of course Henderson and AP rate Hurricane Fly as the one to beat; no one in racing wants to upset Willie Mullins do they, or Ruby Walsh, it's all a big love in! When Cue Card wins the Supreme by 10+ lengths Menorah's price will dive and he'll go off favourite, and when he quickens before the 2nd last Hurricane Fly will look decidedly one paced! He's NOT that good, just another Irish talking horse! |

Solwhit is gone at the game Alvardo; he's not even considered at it enough to contest the World Hurdle!
By:
You should really try and keep up mate. The horse has gone over the top and lost his form for, nothing to do with his ability.

PP going 11/4 Cue Card ALL DAY today in shops
![]() |
By:
...and we all remember the pp generousity last year, beware of greeks(Irishmen) bearing gifts,a lay for me especially with the going looking to be better than expected.
By:
Why would the going be a problem?
By:
going will be good to soft on Tues unless there is an absolute deluge - Claisse will water to make sure if there is no rain so don't see how going on Tuesday will be better than expected (could conceivably be worst)>
Anyway, I think 11/4 is exceptionally brave, Dunguib went off at 4/5 last year so 11/4 rates Cue Card's chance of winning less than half what Dunguib's was - and there's plenty on here who'll still tell you Dunguib should've won. |
By:
I still say Dunguib was the best horse in last years Supreme.
He was taken the scenic route, clouted a couple down the back straight, was taken very wide at the second last and not asked a question until very late by his inexperienced pilot. I will be backing him again this year because I think he's value, I don't see him not finishing in front of Menorah but there's still a worry that his pilot will find a way of ruining his chance. |

Thought Persian Snow was also a monster? And Washington Irving?
