Stewart Family Chase, Kim Muir, straight to The National or nothing ? I think he'll find it a tough race in the Kim Muir off top weight if the intention is to get another run in before The National. Surely the Stewart Family or straight to The National is best ?

Shrews, I can't help you with the Cheltenham situation, no idea where, or if, he goes. I've bet a few quid on the National on him, as he was just too big. Bet him before and after his Haydock run, which, to be honest, was very disappointing. The only excuse could be he hated the ground. (Graham Lee feels he wants better ground, according to the trainer).
The trainer is also of the opinion that he'll never be better in for the GN than he is this year. I tend to think he'll go to Aintree, if for no reason other than Trevor Hemmings normally likes a few in the race, and Ballabriggs is his only other entry. Hope this is of some use. |

Yes, I think you're right. Straight to the National seems a logical move based on his weight. I can't see them jeopardising a run with a problem at Cheltenham or fatigue after.

After he won his second race at Haydock, I remember the trainer saying 2 miles 5 furlongs round Cheltenham would be just about right for him so don't know if he's entered for the Plate but didn't seem in that great form last time out.
