Eastgate St for your trendy type bars/clubby places. Plenty of good, more traditiona; real ale pubs in the centre - New Inn, The Fountain, Dick Whittingtons, Whitesmith Arms. The Weatherspoons on Eastgate St (The Water Poet) is one of the better ones and always lively.
