Just been looking at the long range weather forcast for the next couple of weeks...not looking good!  Theres going to be overnight temperatures plummeting to -5, -6. This surely will put the meeting in jeopardy...Then to add to that wednesday into thursday its going to be very windy...winds gettin upto 36mph...What did the winds get to when  a couple of days got abononed in 2008???

This has just put a massive dampener on my festive spirits!!!Sad

No way on Earth will the weather claim the festival.
The winds in 08 were 65-70mph and the reason why it was abandoned was because of debris getting blown from the black stuff village onto the course.
As for night time temps, -5 would be a frost but day time temps quickly pick up at this time of year and any frost will be gone by mid morning.

UK Outlook for Thursday 17 Mar 2011 to Thursday 31 Mar 2011:

This period should see unsettled conditions in the north at first with occasional rain or showers and drier interludes, mainly in the south, but there is a signal that high pressure will return and build across the UK, turning things mainly dry with bright or sunny spells. Rainfall amounts may be below or well below average for the time of year, and temperatures should be around normal. Sunshine amounts should be around average on the whole.

... Looks positively great :-)

Will definitely get watered in the week leading to the festival.  Good to Soft, Good in places - that's always their aim!
