Not surprising, but cheers.

Hope he makes the price for Wishfull Thinking. Love CC, but couldnt back him LH over fences. Next years King George maybe...

Where is this "confirmed" fella ? LAst I heard was that the trainer preferred the Jewson but that  decision would be taken nearer the time ?
Report Martin pipe returns • March 1, 2011 7:06 PM GMT
Cheers for that. Where is the confirmation ?
Report Goretski • March 1, 2011 7:21 PM GMT
Heard it from someone connected to the yard Pipey, Johnson raving about him apparently.
Report Redford_Blade • March 1, 2011 7:33 PM GMT
8/1 on here...

Should I wait for offical conf and lose a point or two or go in now??
Report buddeliea • March 1, 2011 7:55 PM GMT
Hells Bay will be hard to beat,so be careful imo

The Jewson is looking just as strong as the Arkle, Wishfull Thinking, Noble Prince,Hells Bay, Captain Chris, Mr. Gardner, Loosen my Load, Robinson Collonges and  + others. A Grade 1 in all but name.

I hope this is true so we can end the nonsense talk about CC in the Arkle. He looks great for the Jewson
Report thefarmer • March 1, 2011 9:19 PM GMT
As much as i like the horse he jumps right at his fences and his little chance of winning any race at Cheltenham. Definitely a lay for me in the Jewson. Wishful Thinking would be interesting if he lined up for the Jewson in the same colours.
Report 87blade • March 2, 2011 12:29 PM GMT
Is Wishful Thinking likely to line up if CC does? Hope so but have a feeling they will go RSA instead
Report booster • March 2, 2011 8:33 PM GMT
Hobbs says in his stable tour in the Weekender re Wishfull Thinking, "I wouldn't want to find out if he gets 3 m at the festival. That can wait". Personally, I thought his handicap win in January was really impressive and should be good enough to go close in the Jewson.
Report rhinestone • March 2, 2011 8:36 PM GMT
booster, does he mention Snap Tie in that stable tour? Cheers.
Report yeast • March 2, 2011 8:38 PM GMT
snap tie not mentioned.
Report rhinestone • March 2, 2011 8:40 PM GMT
cheers yeast.

Virtually no support for him the Jewson on here where Wishfull Thinking well supported. Is Johnson going to be up on him in the Arkle and Wishfull Thinking the Jewson? Who would ride Captain Chris in the Jewson if he went for it, presumably the money says Wishfull Thinking is their main hope in the Jewson so Johnson on that.
Report eric_morris • March 5, 2011 7:07 AM GMT
The forecast ground is going to be spot on for Captain Chris now he will be able to travel on it with a positive ride.
Report booster • March 5, 2011 8:24 AM GMT
Rhinestone, no mention of that horse but mate of mine reckons it's working well and we all know his festival form is useful. I thought he'd go well in a Grand Annual off 142 but seems like they're aiming Keki Buku at that.
Report eric_morris • March 5, 2011 9:32 AM GMT
Only 3rd fav the Jewson on here?
Report FOYLESWAR • March 5, 2011 9:44 AM GMT
eric its quite possible that p.hobbs & connections  has had second thoughts about capt chris going for the arkle just my opinion ,but surely a sensible option as he has wishfull thinking (same owners ) for the jewson ,and arkle looking a bit easier now .i have backed realt dubh so not pocket talking .

would have thought having one chance in each race better than having 2 chances in 1 race ,could end up winning both races ,your bet could well still be alive .
