Am I right in thnking this horse is out for the yr, due to a wind op?

Either way, it has been transferred to Nicholls.

From the RP -

CRACK AWAY JACK, winner of the 2008 Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle and fourth in the Champion Hurdle 12 months later, has left trainer Emma Lavellefor Paul Nicholls' yard.

Crack Away Jack was switched to fences after his Champion Hurdle effort but, after making a promising start, missed the remainder of his novice season with a tendon injury.

The seven-year-old returned to action at Ascot last month when finishing a distant seventh of eight behind Master Minded in the Grade 1 Victor Chandler Chase and was pulled up at Kempton on his last start after stopping quickly.

The horse has been moved to Nicholls with owner Danny Charlesworth hoping a change of scenery will spark a return to form.

Lavelle said: "He's been a wonderful horse for us to have. He won at the festival and then finished fourth in the Champion Hurdle.

"He's been disappointing since he came back from his injury and his owner, Danny Charlesworth, thought a change of scenery mighthelp. I wish Danny and the horse the best of luck for the future."

Nicholls said: "I was asked at the weekend if I would train the horse and I can confirm he's in the yard".

TBH I am not suprised. Not knocking Emma Lavelle she is a good trainer but she does not know how to manage horses.

Hardly opened up at 5/1 AP prior to the weights coming out and drifted to 16/1.

Emma Lavelle has to many horses running badly to even consider any of her's for the Festival. let alone one who can't jump.

river liane was the big gamble in the race as I was on big time!

Personally think the  horse has been poorly campaigned and have an inkling that has more to do with the owner than Ms Lavelle.
