He rescued my Cheltenham last year and gave me a profitable Aintree. Would love to be on him again, but just can't put my money on until I get some confirmation of his well being.

All about the ground for him. One of the best horses in training on proper decent ground. Anything softer than genuine spring festival GS and he's not up to Grade 1 class. Would definitely wait til the day until backing him.

Followed him last year at Chelts and Aintree but I'll be steering clear whatever the ground this time around. AR is another year older and there is every chance that the Nicholls runner is a little better this term. More worringly is the likely addition of Riverside Theatre to the mix who is a true grade 1 performer on an upward curve. That is something AR didn't have to contend with last year.
When you add to the above the fact that last year AR although not in sparkling form prior to Chelts was at least putting up some reasonable efforts compared with what he has done this year then he's a no bet for me.

all valid cruise d but have an indelible image of his performances at Cheltenham and Aintree last spring in my mind's eye.
Might wait and see how Jonjo's are running over the first couple of days, more afraid of RT than Poquelin.
