A couple of horses who look to be on good marks -

For Non Stop off 135: Won at Chepstow prior to running into Grands Crus at Cheltenham in November. Reportedly missed plenty of work before finishing fourth in the fog at Newbury (Challow Hurdle). Seemed to travel best that day before fading and merits respect whether running in Coral Cup or Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle.

Great Endeavour off 148: Up another 6 lb for finishing second to Poquelin at Cheltenham in December. Totally unexposed at 3m+ though, and should he take his chance in the Will Hill Chase (whatever its called now!) must hold a decent e/w chance.

Anyone else got any horses in mind they feel are well handicapped?

Bywell Beu pertemps. This horse has improved massivly for the step up to 3m and was unlucky not to win at Cheltenham this season. Never going to have the pace to be involved in the Lanzarote stable reports are good on the lead up to the festival.

On Cross Kennon 33s for Pertemps before it beat Bensalem last Saturday, trainer has now ruined handicap mark as will surely go up 10 pounds at least? Could still run well but imagine would now have almost top weight?

Agree on Junior. Took some 16s today.

Owner has said that they're favouring FWKM over WillHill at the moment (Via twitter), though also have an eye on the old Whitbread and Scottish National after.

l really like this horse too, have done since its bumper days, but its a soft ground performer and he will either not act on the faster ground or be able to go the pace. Would be a very strong bet if it where to come up soft though.

Thanks James, thought Cross Kennon would go up a lot, trainer has ruined decent mark just by running in that race, think maybe if soft they will go World Hurdle route, in which he wouldnt have any chance.

I nearly choked on my Chicken supreme baguette when I saw Fair Alongs name in the Cross Country today.
On ratings he would be receiving about 10lb from Garde Champetre which could make him possibly the best handicapped horse in the history of chasing.
Never seen a cross country fence, if he's been schooled then he would be a huge spanner in the works for Garde.
Can't be too many 5f sprinters who have run in 3m 5f events

Tanks for That in the Grand Annual.  Chase rating of 142 not unreasonable given his second placing (in receipt of a stone) behind Champion Chase contender Woolcombe Folly and was given a spin over hurdles in January to preserve his mark for a race that Henderson always targets at the Festival.

Cheers Trader know that, but after last years 4th stayed on from miles back, presumed Pertemps was target again, little did i know it was going to beat Bensalem last Sat, or even run well handicap mark was always in danger?

Bothy for the Coral Cup - 27's on BF..... 12's in places... trainer indicated this is his target and he will appreciate a step up in trip, sh-hd 2nd in the Gold Trophy which is arguably the toughest pre-chelts hcp hurdle of the year.

I'msingintheblues in the Grand Annual. Run at Cheletenham was good over a trip too far and all other runs this season on unsuitable ground.

Hard to know plans for horses but i`d be very interested in  Presenting Forever in the 3mile chase on Tuesday,Has course form when fading on the run in behind Gold Cup outsider Manhattan Chase and ran in the 4miler last year, sound jumper and will be better on the anticipated better surface. Can`t find my stats book but pretty sure being a seven year old rated 145 is somewhere in the usual range for a winner of this race.

horse9 - before they are allowed to run in the cross country the horses have to have a trial run over the course to prove that they can cope with it.  Our guy Dream Alliance had a spin over them a couple of weeks ago, quite possible that Fair Along went up with him.

FCH - good info, many thanks.
I have someone in the Hobbs yard who is asking questions this weekend, on hi sbest form and assuming he gets the course, he would have a chance.
Dream Alliance, Welsh National winner Dream Alliance ? Great horse to won.
How did he go over the XC course?

Cross Kennon not entered for Pertemps. Looks like stable expect a big run from Barafundle. Look back to second to Grands Crus at Haydock for reason why!!

smart stable - first festival win would be another landmark for a trainer who is going places.
