the world hurdle ............

the world hurdle .....i didnt give this race too much consideration as to me it looked a 2 horse race , possibly still is but then i got thinking as to how the race is likley to be run, imo grands crus will be very  prominent and i would say try to run the finish out of big bucks kicking on from 2 ou,t ,he looked awesome last time at chelt and is a worthy 2nd fav.
but that was on soft ground, quite likley to be faster come day of the race  which may not suit , ruby on big bucks wont want to give grands crus too much rope and imo would hope to be within 3-4 lenths behind g.cs turning in grand crus could be out on his feet before the last and be a spent force ,but the effort by big bucks  keeping tabs on grands crus could leave him vulnerable to to a finisher .
mourad has been impressive in ireland and seems a worthy challenger but his best form has been on very soft ground he is also unlikley to get it , the horse that i think has a chance at a big price is if he goes for the world hurdle is  ashkazar trained like grans crus by d.pipe. rated 161 ,he won a decent chelten h.cap off 11.12  giving lumps of weight to junior and chartruex .,ashkazar was behind early and crept into the race late on leading on the run in and pulling 3+lths clear not saying he will beat big bucks but he is sureley overpriced .on betfair he is available  at 109 to small money and 28s in the offices imo he has a decent each way chance ,especially if timmy murphy switches him off and creeps into the race late ,he is a little inconsistent but the price compensates for that ,he is also a classy type was at one time very short in betting for the champion hurdle a few years back ,i have had some of the 109s on here ,of course big bucks and grands crus may well dominate the race but at the prices ashkazar looks too big ................famous last words !
