Sporazene won me around £1550 in the Vincent O'Brien thanks to a bit of a Rigmarole!!
Last year on Thursday was my best day ever. Cleared £1k on Copper Bleu, then backed Buena Vista in the next and Albertas Run in the Ryannair! All at well over double figures. Also had a trixie on Copper Bleu, Albertas Run and Tidal Bay so when it was running on to TB I lumped on Big Bucks in the World Hurdle .Strangely enough both years I lost exactly £500 quid in the QM (the only two times I've bet to anywhere near that level at Chelts). Moscow fell in 04 before winning it again in 05 and then last year MM flopped. Omen for MM this year? Or omen for me, ie back the winner in the QM then I'd better stop for the rest of the week! |

Sizing Europe 16-1 and Weapon's Amnesty 20-1 way back in Oct 2009 - 8 euro E/W double = 3,000 and some change. Had a big argument with Paddy Power when collecting as I had written 22-1 ( a special price being offered on Sizing on the very day I laid the bet). At those odds I should have got 4k. I just wanted the correct odds at the time of striking the bet for 3K. One manager on the phone offered me an SP double 6's and 10's I think which would have been 800 - what a you know what!!!! I soon had him running for his boss... Paddy Power what a shower when it comes to paying out.

Got the placepot up on Champion Chase day in 1990.
It paid £22,000 but I only had it for 25p but £5,500 wasn't too bad I suppose. I could do with £5,500 for this year. |
