Cheltenham Festival

I backed SP ante post months ago, and at the time i was bitterly disappointed with its third at Chepstow and thought i had done my money.
This particular race featured Marsh warbler , Houblon Des Obeaux , and Sam Winner (previously ante post fav for triumph)and it was a very slow run affair.
SP stayed on well and so did SW and both look in need of fast run race on that evidence and it was not till today that any of the four had run since to gauge form properly.
Well both that HDO (sounds like breed of dog at Crufts)and SP both winning today i am full of optimism again.
Any thoughts

There is no doubt Smad was most inconvenienced the most by the slow run affair at Chepstow imo but I think are going to be one or two with a bit more speed than he has in the Triumph.
I backed him after Newbury and also have ante-post bets. Today he looked very likeable, i.e, was easy to ride, they made the running, and he jumped pretty well, but for one error at the second last. I compared this horses temperament to that of Medermit, as he likes to dig deep, and I think that is still the case. Cheltenham will suit him well, and it is nice the form has been franked today with HBO winning, but I just wonder if there will be a couple with a touch more class. But im happy with me ew poke still, could grab a place. |

And i am happy with my ante post on Smad Place Sintonian, nice though to see HBO win also like he did and frank what could be red hot form.
SW forth and Nicholls at the time out of form and to my eyes still is to a certain degree, may still bounce back once Ruby back in the plate |

I'm on win only for the Triumph because I really think the race and especially the track, with the long punishing run betweent he last two hurdles, will suit him. Might not have the class of Grandouet but hard to see him not being in the mix.
