he says he will bypass cheltenham to go to aintree with punchestowns and he says mighnt run A Media Luz in the triumph now as a plan b if her rating is too high for the fred winter which is most definitly will

well punchestowns makes sense,too slow for ryanair and not good enough for Gold Cup,what other race is there over fences? or do you think he should go World Hurdle??

Changed plans always possible.
Oscar Whiskey might yet go to World Hurdle . Read Barrys Diary and Blog. and wouldnt shock me if Riverside T supplemented for Gold Cup if he wins tomorrow ? If they arent going to run Punchestowns Barry has no obvious ride. |

A Media Luz should go for the triumph....Ok she got beat fair and square in her first two races but arguably he ran to free. Fell when about to win then won easily of a mark of 119. Sure to go up at least 18lb+ which takes her toward the 140s and into the Triumph bracket, with a cast iron garuntee that there is more improvement to come with her talent as the penny has now dropped. Personally I think the quicker they go the better she will be and her jumping (on the whole)has easily been the slickest of the juveniles (bar the fall of course)

A media luz meeting grandouet again will run him into the ground, her jumping is far superior and getting 7lbs and she has learned to settle in her races, i just hope the handicapper doesnt make the mistake of being too light on her and letting her run riot in the fred winter and forces her to run in the triumph

Plus Henderson knows she was undercooked against Grandoet. Newbury was Grandoet's day you could tell. Henderson payed no real attention to A Media Luz and there was one job that day and that was to get her to settle better. I would fancy her very strongly to beat anything in the Triumph now. She is by far the Classiest juvenile running this side of the water and her jumping is slick and probably the fastest we have seen. Another thing on her side is she looks so progressive.

yeah like the fact is henderson knows he has the best two juveniles in grandoet and AML, he was hoping AML would get into the fred winter and he would win both the juvenile hurdles, what he doesnt want is to have to run the two of them against each other and why he says the triumph doesnt suit AML , bollix to that improving slick jumper , the quicker they go better she will jump, shes gonna win the triumph i really believe this as its a 2 horse race , the only thing thats going to beat her is the handicapper allowing her to run in the fred winter

i dont i think its wide open has the truimph hurdle winner even ran yet i wouldnt be so sure it has they all seem to be much of muchness right now and yeah there both good contenders so is smad place who will stay all day

she has to run in the truimph hurdle stuff the fred winter at the end of the day its a h,cap the truimph is a grade1 plus with her being a filly black type on flat/jumps would look very good

I have backed Grandouet but I agree with two things AML could be improving rapidly enough to be the biggest danger to him. And it is possible that we haven't seen the Triumph winner yet but I think just Soldatino popped out of nowhere last year, it's tough to expect another horse to come off one run and win the Triumph again. Having said that theres a couple of interesting ones still to run - NH has two from France Molotof and Celtus for Simon Munir. Nicholls has still to run Zarkandar, but i don't think PN lends itself to producing one like that. EOG has a horse for Thomas Barr called Rigidity - rated 95 on the flat...

Since this thread has gone down the Triumph Hurdle turnpike, it's worth remembering Brampour is going to win it and we should have had our shirts,mortgages and the virginity of our first born auctioned on e-Bay, on it.

Speaks volumes of the man as atartner when he has gt so much talent in his yrad he doesn't know from one day to the nextwhich horse is going to be good enouh to gow where.
Doubt if Oscar Whisky will go for the World Hurdle though The owner is very keen to go for the Champion Hurdle and don't be suprised if he does a Punjabi. No way of telling if Oscar Whisky has improved past Menorah e.g. both have been very impressive beating very little. So really he's got to fo for the Champion especially as he has been impressive and Binoclar took a step back the way in his last outing. Not that that's got anything in the slightest to do with the Binocular that truns up at Cheltenham but try teeling Oscar Whisky's owner that :0) As far as Puchestowns go I don't suppose Nikcy will be too bothered where he runs as he's not going to be winning anything at the Fetsivals. |
