One I've got my eye on for this is Have You Seen Me. Hopefully he'll get an entry and go there fresh. He's already gained a fair amount of experience having had 4 runs over the larger obstacles. The first of these came at Towcester when he beat the odds on favourite Micheal Flips (146 rated hurdler) with the pair pulling 10 lengths clear of Divers (131 rated chaser).
He followed this up being a 1 length second to Bouggler, however that day he was giving that horse 6lbs (taking out the 3lb claim). Bouggler of course is a very good 140+ hurdler and looks to be of a similar calibre over fences considering he's finished runner up twice since to Wymott and The Minack (both already rated 140+ chasers). After these two runs he was allocated a mark of 139. Since then he's run twice, but it must be remembered that at the time of both these runs the Twiston-Davies yard were badly out of form. In fact the first of these was a very acceptable run when he led into the straight in the Dipper at Cheltenham on New Years Day. Even though he was beaten 20 odd lengths that day he still finished ahead of horses such as Master of Hall, Sway and Mr Thriller. The form has also been franked since with Medermit winning a grade 1 and Master of the Hall winning well too. In the second of these runs he made a bad blunder which ruined his chance - the positive to take from the race was though that he settled better than normally. Since then he's been dropped to a mark of 132. Hopefully if he can settle better with T-D in better form he can run a massive race if he is sent to Cheltenham in March. |

a tad confusing and quite a few will get this race mixed up with the other for antepost purposes
so would i be right in thinking a horse like , say , hells bay will not be eligble for tuesdays race being rated 156 and is therefore likely aimed at thursdays golden miller (the jewson ?) does anyone know if this is actually hells bay target please ? |

By:
think i;ve got that wrong actually ^^
|

no, i think you're right, cl....Hell's Bay is going for the non-hcap on Thurs (whatever it's called!)

Yeah it is true.
Also you want to back him for the Jewson, not the Centenary novice handicap chase that this thread is about. |
|

I should add, this also the sire of Hurricane Fly.

In oddschecker, Spoils and Fat Fred have blue boxes next to this horse for the race this thread is about.(Centenary)
On one hand, it's a scandal they are taking bets on these horses. Hell's Bay is rated 156 and it's 0-140 race. It can't get in, yet these ratbags keep taking bets. On the other hand, people need to screw the nut and concentrate on what they are doing. Bookies annoy me, but some punters just don't help themselves, do they? |
