noel meade said 50/50. My gut feeling is they will not risk him in it if he's had an injury. But who knows.

sure i read that he was ok as wasnt as bad an injury as thought? or the swelling had gone down maybe? unless i have just imagined it, the article said he still wouldnt run in the hennessy but prospects looked better for cheltenham

I believe the last I read about this, it was reported they were doing some tests last week and they would know then whether he was clear to resume training. As there hasn't been a further update, possibly that is being read by some as negative for the horse's chances of making Cheltenham.

im sure i read that update aka?! cant think where though :/

However, Meade said yesterday: "The news is all good and very positive as there is definitely no fracture and the bruising has practically gone away.

"We'll take it easy with him for the next couple of days before he starts back, but the Cheltenham Festival is back in the picture now."

Pandorama back in the Gold Cup picture
BY BRIAN FLEMING
01 FEBRUARY 2011

PANDORAMA will now be trained for the Gold Cup on March 18 after trainer Noel Meade said that extensive tests following his recent setback had produced positive news, writes Brian Fleming.

The winner of the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown was ruled out of this Sunday's Hennessy Gold Cup after suffering a bruised hock last week that Meade feared would also jeopardise the Gold Cup prospects of Robert Bagnall's eight-year-old.

However, Meade said yesterday: "The news is all good and very positive as there is definitely no fracture and the bruising has practically gone away.

"We'll take it easy with him for the next couple of days before he starts back, but the Cheltenham Festival is back in the picture now."

A week of box rest ruled him out of this weekend's Grade 1 for which he was installed the ante-post favourite and Meade added: "He was box rested all last week and we didn't even take him out to trot, but this news is very positive."
