kemble is a lovely looking back st. boozer , small, friendly and has had some good times . last few years has looked a bit run down i feel . hope they raise their game again...prince of wales been really polished up . will be buzzing . chain bars are same all over but the 2 pubs in prestbury itself in good weather are well , well worth the slight detour ...6 miles out in a cab , winchcombe a lot nicer than tewkesbury .smartest hotel bar is the hotel du vin but need to get in early .

For me you can't beat The Beehive,so friendly, great garden where you can sit down smoke a tab w/o feeling like a outcast.Great mix of locals and festival goers, couldn't tell you how to get there, yet we always find it and it never let's you down.

Agree that Beehive is a very good bet. In fact, I'll be there tonight talking about Facebook. |

Out of town, the Teddington Hands in Teddington, The Plough at Ford and the Walter De Canteloupe in Kempsey all serve decent pints and are full of racegoers. Food in all 3 is excellent too
