Champion Hurdle

A really good renewal this year. The one i like here is Peddlers Cross. Last years Neptune winner missed his prep run at the weekend but im not worried and Donald will have him ready for tghe big day. Beat Binocular in the rearranged Fighting Fifth showing he had the speed for 2 miles. Istabraq and Hardy Eustace are previous winners who ran in the longer race as a novice and i think this lad will do the same.

Champion Chase

Big Zeb rates a cracking bet here. Was imperious last year and looked every bit as good so far this year. He used to throw in the odd blunder but seems to have sorted that and the better ground at the festival will suit much better than what he runs on in Ireland. I would not worry by his defeat last time as he was in front plenty early enough and im positive Barry will get a better lead into this race and he should be favourite in my opinion.

World Hurdle

I won't bore you here but Big Bucks is a good thing, enough said!

Gold Cup

Denman looks the solid pick here. Ran a brilliant race in the Hennessy giving so much weight away and i thought he didn't get into his usual rhythm either. He goes to Cheltenham a fresh horse and im sure Paul will have him perfect for the day. This is his last realistic chance i can envisage a scenario like the year he won it with Sam trying to wind it up on the 2nd circuit and get them all at it. I think he is a certainty to place and rates a good E/W bet.

Arkle

Medermit looks the one here. Im not convinced by any of the Irish raiders and while Finians Rainbow has done nothing wrong, what has he beat? I don't fancy Ghizao. Medermit was very good at Sandown at the weekend and won easier than the winning distance as i thought he just idled in front. I don't think Choc will hit the front as early at Cheltenham and he looks the horse to beat.

RSA Chase

Time For Rupert, just can't see him beat. Loves Cheltenham, stays well, jumps well, he looks banker material.

Ryanair

It tought to know who will go in this. I like last years winner again Albertas Run. A much better hlrse on decent ground he has a good festival record and although this season has not gone to plan he should not be as big as he is.

Triumph

Grandouet has looked very good the last 2 times and with doubts surrounding the particapation of Sam Winner i fancy Nicky to saddle the winner again.

Mares Hurdle

One Quevega turns up in form she wins.

I'll put up selections for the handicaps closer to the time when we know where horses are going

Awful stuff, why did you even bother.
Report TheBettingGenius February 7, 2011 3:38 PM GMT
You may not like it as you have not backed any of them and now realise you are doomed!! It's ok Mr Down, you can back them now and save yourself the humiliation of bombing out at the festival
Report downallstar February 7, 2011 3:41 PM GMT

Mr Down i am a brilliant tipster, it will be proved when these horses win at the Cheltenham Festival, as i said feel free to ignore these fantastic tips but im just trying to help those less fortunate than myself at picking winers.

I am the great one, some would say the special one and the festival will prove it so!!!!!!

I'd say you're special all right!

How did you pick these fantastic selections? Must have taken at least as long as it did to type that fantastic summary.

Report TheBettingGenius February 7, 2011 5:13 PM GMT
You must be really bad if you backed all them, what possessed you to do that.

I'm actually very worried for you Mr Down, i hope you didn't put too much on them

Perhaps if you cover with the horses i named at the start of the thread you won't lose everything at the festival.

Good Luck to you Mr Down, i unfortunately feel you may need it
