looks a massive price to me at 100/1 for the Jewson, had 3 runs for the Williams stable, winning 2 of those by 10l+, the 2nd of those was at the Galway Festival off 135, he then got beat in a novice chase at Market Rasen after making a mistake, he was basically pulled up and finished for prize money reasons only.
He is now rated 132..This is the trainers comments in the RP.
We had a delightful summer with him. He ran very well at Market Rasen then went to Galway, where he missed the cut for the Plate but won the conditions race very impressively. He’s only a baby and has been on the go for quite some time, so we’re giving him a break with a view to coming back in the new year. I think he’ll go on any ground and will still fill out and improve. A nice novice chaser who will be primed for March and April, when we’d like to see if he’s good enough to run in one of the decent handicaps or at one of the festivals.-10/11/10.
He didnt win off 135 in Ireland....that was his hcap mark at the time but the race was a non-handicap. The Jewson isnt a handicap this year anyway. The old Jewson novices hcap is now called the Centenary novices hcap on day 1, i believe.
