Depends on his wellbeing tommorrow, but a close 2nd to Big Zeb might read very well. He is largely unexposed at this distance and Arkle winners have a good record in QM. He is a year younger than BZ and even at 4/1 tommorrow may be a bit of value

And lets not forget the result the only time Sizing Europe has raced against Big Zeb

Mordin is always banging on about his 2 milers theory, they are generally best fresh and Big Zeb has never won when racing off a break of less than 6 weeks. Golden Silver seems to run every week too. Big chance tomorrow for Sizing with his pacemaker/blocker.

Surely no one will back Big Zeb tomorrow!? From what ive read the entire forum is on Big Zeb for the Champion Chase? Back Sizing Europe tomorrow, if he does win, you've covered your stake on Big Zeb, if Sizing Europe wins, back him for the Champion Chase with your winnings at whatever price!
Easy this game! |

place cert in champ chase! 4/1 good price zeb due its annual hitting of a fence

9/1 NRNB on sizing for the CC seems a nice bet. Wins tomorrow and he'll be far less than that on the day. Has a nightmare tomorrow and he'll be diverted to Ryanair

What if Sizing loses to Big Zeb and trails home 2nd or 3rd then a crack at the Gold Cup wouldn't be a bad thing!.

Think Gold Cup would be an interesting one .................

got to be gold cup, horse is 9 years old, no use running well or winning a ryanair and always wondering what could have happened in a gold cup
if they went ryanair this year it may be too late to go gold cup the year after, 10 year olds don't do well |

Thinking the same, I believe he could place in the Gold cup.

Don't like his prep. I believe it's been pretty much unavoidable but it's far from ideal.

Perfect as I predicted (other than Big Zeb didnt win)
Pointless running against the same 2 and Master Minded over 2 miles can't beat themover this trip More chance of my aunty getting home over 3.2 miles in the Gold Cup Must go Ryanair, fill yer boots at 20-1 |

He's never won over more than 20 furlongs (weak race), 18 in a graded chase. There must be a big doubt he'd stay the GC trip at Cheltenham. His 4 length defeat to Kauto Star at Down Royal doesn't look great form given Kauto officially ran to 164 and SE was fitter that day. He didn't look quick enough for 2 m today in what appeared a truly run race. Since he does have a good record at Cheltenham the Ryanair seems the best bet.

Doubt he'll go for GC, Ryanair or even QM still possible if his trainer knew he needed it today.Intersesting that Paddy Power were long on him today but still only 10s for QM

Much will depend on what's in the Ryanair. Two miles at top level seems too fast for him to get his jumping organised these days (he's always been awkward and gangly). I think it would be unwise to make the assumption he won't stay the GC trip but Denman and IC will make sure no prisoners are taken.
I'm a fan of SE but reflecting on all his past form, I'm coming to the conclusion that he is simply not as good as I thought he was. |
