Worst thing they ever did at Cheltenham was to get rid of the head on stand. I used to go in when it was an old brick built terrace, the temporary seated version was superb - great view great crack. Sadly replaced by a tent with tellies now.

I totally agree. I used to love watching the races from the head on stand and couldn't understand why it wasn;t there last year. Big mistake by the course management IMO.

They can probably sell more booze in 'the tent with telllies' and that's what it's all about.

In fairness, the tent with the tellies did have some lovely real ale last year, but why not have BOTH?
