Table Mountain (Milan - Shirley Blue), bought at Tattersalls in the autumn for 200,000 GNS out of AP O'Briens yard. Due to run on 6th February in Leopardstown in a juvenile hurdle. Have put a few quid each way on for the Triumph Hurdle. Any opinions?

Trainer is not the best is he?

I suppose you can only work with what you got. Table Mountain was impressive in his 4 starts, so Hennessy needs to step up to the mark with this one. The first run over hurdles will be interesting.

They bought Donegal for 200,000 and that didn't work out.

I know. They don't seem to be shy about spending serious money. Donegal even won a listed race in England and proved useless over hurdles. I supppose you don't really know until a horse is gelded and schooled over obstacles. Hopefully Table Mountain is the real deal. He's trading at 34 on BF. I was reading that they outbid Charlie Swan for this horse and presumably CS knows a thing or two about this type of horse.

I dont like the way table mountain swished his tail when he got a few cracks up the hill in Naas
the last day.
