i personally think hes a class2/3 horse at best. his last win looked like a fluke to me. nicholls once said that he was named after barbers cheese so he hoped he would be as good! i havent ever had barbers 1833 cheese but i suspect that the only way the horse is as good as the cheese is if the cheese is like tesco own brand easysingles
http://www.barbers1833.co.uk/
That cheese on toast looks nice
Horse was due to go to the Feltham last I heard, not sure what's happened though sorry.

nice looking horse, would have lost to pure anticipation at chelt imo, needs to progress as chaser to figure in the big ones imo
Agree with Paul. Gorgeous looker, inevitably better over fences, but I am not sure how high he goes ultimately.
Hard to train I think but Paul think he's got him right this year. Everyone was raving about this horse a couple of years ago but he gets a lot of setbacks I think. He looks quite gangly so maybe he has just needed to grow up. I wouldn't be writing him off he's definitly one to follow.
i think hes top class myself, or at least will be in time!!!
i thought he was given his last race and ran down lots of fences. i think a bit of salt might taste nice if added to pfn comments about the horse
He was going very well when against the ill fated Tell Massini reve. He was certainly no slouch.
looks built for chasing but not quite there yet, maybe one il leave out of rsa bets but take a juicy price for next year's gold cup
opinions opinions eh. il be place layin him in any sort of class oposition anyway. i thought tell massini would have strolled that race giving how att finished it off
he was going better than TM at the time of his fall, and thats just a fact he definitely had the fav in trouble.
I like him and want to see him run again. Would have been good had the feltham been on.
seen him once over fences, and he looked absolutely nackered on the run in,much better than him around imo
dan, if he goes to the hennessy, which i highly doubt, one thing is for sure and thats that he will be racin off 10stone
had a huge point to point rep in Ireland, I remember getting abused on the main forum when I mentioned Nicholls had thought a lot of him, (ya 2 years ago ya dope) and he might be one to follow, he's taken a long time to come good though
theres a long way between a ptp and a hennessy. i could understand that he was v good in them though. maybe he will come good and il be wrong ....again
I heard about him when they first bought him and they were really impressed with him. I don't know wtf happened I think maybe he's just taken his time to get going or whatever but they feel they have got him there this year. He did hav Tell Massini at work before he fell so he must have some ability. I don't know he could be average or very good. He must have done something to impress them.
I kind of meant come good relative to some of his performances over hurdles which were dire
i felt he had tell messini beat anyway, hes a good horse!
Denmans run in the Hennessey in no way suggested he is gone at the game.Ridiculous comment.
he was giving lumps of weight he's fooking stuff DH off levels, jesus, amazing comment, one of the worst ive seen on here! FWIW i would be amazed if DH can even place in this yrs GC!
Diamond Harry over 3m2f at Cheltenham?? Just cannot see it at all.Certainly not against the best around.
you will see it[;)] its a myth that he doesnt like cheltenham, what he doesnt like is too many races in one season. as for denners, id say theres a 95% chance he will win again
well it all depends on his campaign imo. if pfn run him in somethin like the lexus next yr then hed surely win it. i wouldnt be sure nicholls will run him in the british hennessy again
yeah id say it would be better for the horse running in the john durkan or lexus chase
hes a newbury horse, HOW DO U NOT KNOW THIS?? look at the weight denman was carrying ffs, jesus christ the henderson horse nearly beat him ffs. thats what the horse does , he travels well at newbury, he'll be beat out of sight at chelt!
the henderson horse nearly beat him ffs. thats what the horse does , he travels well at newbury, he'll be beat out of sight at chelt!
henderson horse didnt nearly beat him imo. geraghty said hed have needed another 6 lengths to beat him
its my opinion that DH is not suited by Cheltenham,he was patchy over hurdles there and certainly has yet to convince me that fences suits round there,so i am against him.
Denman on the other hand is well suited to the place.
Of course DH could prove me wrong, and he was impressive in the Hennessey, but that is a flat track, and a lot different to Cheltenham.
Cheers for the offer of a match bet,but it aint really my thing to use money in that way to prove a point on here.I have Denman at 15,that will do me.

2 STONE he got 2 STONE off denman, wont place in the GC, beat bensalem a half length at chelt after ben made shocking jumping errors, beat by mikael, and then PU, horse hasnt a hope.
gl tho.

2/4 at chelters. beaten 5 and half lengths by mikael dhaguenet when williams claimed to have overdone him. fiddled around in rsa and two good wins hurdling and chasing
patchy over hurdles at cheltenham. explain please??

i always thought of diamiond harry as a flkat track horse for around kempton and places such as that and was astonished with his performance in henessy . for me he showed hes 100 percent the realk deal that day
????
newbury is HIS track, only your name sake has beaten him there[smiley:crazy]

ill be hear GC day dont worry, ill let the market sort it out, why would i giveu a better price than the market?? AND its only jan, who knows what horses are gonna show up, inc harry
tom segal thought that harry would have run denners close off levels in the hennessy.6/10/11 year olds have terrible records in the gc so i think a horse will win it this yr that hasnt won it b4
of course u could bigbucks but he was carrying 2 STONE more than the winner
thats kind of a lot of weight to be giving away to a talented 2nd season chaser at his favourite track racing off 10 stone.

perhaps reve but i dont think it will be DH, just my opinion!
missed the last too. will be an exciting gold cup as ever i suspect
i respect your opinion more than most ilwab but i hope your wrong this time
he was cooked because he was carrying so much weight[smiley:crazy]....dont u get it? if denman was also racing off 10 stone u think he would have been traveling just the same do u? is thatg what youre saying? so the fact that he was carrying 2 stone more makes no difference to a horses performance? are u saying this?
patchy may have been a tad over the top. What i meant that at the festival i have not been that impressed with him.I think if he were that good there he would have won that Neptune, and had that race been on a flat track he would have,Karabak is not top notch and nor is Mikd so far, although not all his own fault of course being off for so long.
His RSA run was not good at all.
His RSA run was not good at all.
mikael is top class imo. last run states otherwise but not unknown for horses to have off days. i think denners will finish in front of kauto tbh
mikael is certainly topclass, he needs time tho, realt dubh that beat him out of sight last time was getting beat by mikael on the bridle on mikael's 1st run back, he bounced.
ah yeah id say normal service will be resumed soon enuf with mikael
any know where his owner richard ricci gets the dosh?
apologies u are right bb, realt dubh was further back in the field!
hes going for the PJ Moriarty on feb the 6th
well he may turn out to be,but i aint seen it yet.So far he has won the Neptune and then beat Cousin Vinny.I need to see more to be convinced.Again i say its not all his fault cos of setbacks, but still he needs to show me more than his novice form.IF/When he does then i will come on here and say i was wrong.
leop/ 2 and a half mile.
he really needs to win it i think.
he really needs to win it i think.
Reve- ricci is in corporate and investment banking
oh right cheers carpet. im gettin into that now myself
i dont think so, yes i know they have the fav in that too but someone on here had a copy and paste of willie saying it was all systems go for feb 6th so i just assumed, they dont wanna give up on fences just yet apparently! he beat diamond harry easy that day in the ballymore, real pity if he doesnt take to fences but did everything right on debut bar the fall.
i think he will. falling 1st time out he seemed to slip or sumthin, didnt really make a mistake i thought
yes i thought the same reve, he jumped the last well. was a odd mistake. possibly BB, he needs to win to go on to chelt i think.
Tgjb.got injured at leopardstown at christmas, he'll be back in march. Not going to cheltenham.
wasnt nick schofield on pod lto? so (and this is assuming ruby/ap dont want the ride) wudnt he stay on it?
Interest that it was one of Ruby's first rides on Tuesday this week at Manor Farm Stables (along with Kauto Star, Al Ferof. Niche Market & Definity) [;)]
