He's been to the festival twice, won the Fred Winter and was  fourth in the Champion hurdle.
Due out next Saturday, entered in the Champion Chase and the Ryan Air. If he finds Masterminded too much on Saturday then the Ryan Air would be seem the race for him, as he has decent form up to 2 miles 3 furlongs.

You couldn't fancy him until he runs and shows he's recovered from his injury and retains his ability.

Your right Mac, but after he runs he may not be available at the current odds.

Aye, that's the dilema. Personaly I'll always wait and see a horse run first if it's coming back from injury. I'd rather take a lesser price.

I've had an ambitious dabble for the QM at big prices as I always felt he was well suited to the pace in Festival races. Not convinced he's anything other than a 2-miler so not convinced about the Ryanair and the price has to compensate for the need for him to overcome injury and improve quite a bit anyway!

He's probably my favourite horse running at the moment but I am far from convinced he's a natural chaser. Would love to be wrong and see him reach the top.

What now then? Back over hurdles?

Maybe could get dropped a few pounds for todays run wouldnt write off in something like the grand annual chase if getting better ground and if he is eased by the handicapper. He is rated 163 over hurdles the options therefore are surely more limited whereas 149 minus a drop of 3/4 pounds may just give him a shout in something over fences?

maybe - not really liked any of his runs over fences (except his straightforward Beginners Chase victory) though you'd not want to read too much into today given he's been off so long.

Need to see him run again before the Festival.

Id like to see him go for the 2m4f hurdle at aintree that Solwhit is going for this season.
