Has it been reported that he will not run in the Champion Hurdle. Available at 1000 on here. I doubt he will win at this stage of his career but if he were an intended starter I'm daft enough to risk a few quid. Anybody know?
I believe he is running in the Irish CH soon.Would think if he runs in that he will go for the CH. Totally different horse when he gets his ground, getting on a bit now but he is lightly raced relatively. He was running well against Solwhit last season on unsuitable ground,so he would not be that far behind on that basis. 1000,worth a couple of quid i reckon.

Had a breathing operation in summer 2009, I believe. His form since then, though interrupted by a setback last season, has shown some improvement relative to how he was performing in 2008/9. Ran well in the Fighting Fifth last season, as well as in the race Bud refers to against Solwhit.
Without the breathing problem, likely he would have had more wins in top company than he has actually managed. A lovely traveller, when settling and on suitable ground. Ironically, the ground would have suited him in the CH last season, when he was ruled out by injury and was in reasonable form. Had he run, it wouldn't have surprised me if he had finished fourth or fifth. I wouldn't be expecting as much were he to run in the CH this time, but it would still be good to see him in the race if he could do himself justice. Though possibly connections, not unreasonably, are aiming a little lower this season. He is entered in the Limestone Lad race at the weekend. It will be interesting to see if they take up that engagement or, more ambitiously, go for the Irish CH the week after.

Yeh,i backed him last season, and think he was a serious player but for injury, especially as conditions came up ok for him.As the race panned out i feel sure he would have picked up Zaynar, and maybe KK as well, not the winner though.

He would be a lot shorter on the day alright but will trade close to 100s on the machine.
I cannot for the life of me see him placing in the first 5 in a race which looks very strong this year.

I see Silent Oscar is being quoted in the betting for the Irish Champion Hurdle. Amazing if they have got that one back.
The shame about Sublimity is that he never really stayed free enough of injury and breathing problems for us to know exactly how good he was. Was he only a fortunate winner of a relatively weak Champion Hurdle or was he potentially much better than that? We don't really have the clear evidence to say.
Silent Oscar and Sublimity in a match bet for the Champion Hurdle this time might be one to weigh up!
