odds on shot 3 months before a race will never be the bet of the year for me.
Rather have something like 4 nrnb on Big Zeb myself.

Do hope he turns up fit on the day though for you,you have a good bet then for sure.

i got stuck into laddies 4/5 nrnb didnt think they would hold the price but to be fair to them they did.
Some will think its a great value bet others wont im well and truly in the former camp.

Well i expect it to be around 1/2 onthe day so am happy with 4/5 nrnb tho i was amazed last year when you could get evens in the ring just before the race.

I backed Big Bucks straight after last year's race at 6/4. I have since been backing him at 5/4, 11/10, Evs, 10/11, 4/5 and 4/6. He cannot lose, take this from me, this horse cannot lose. I have told everybody at work for the last 7 months this horse will win and get on him. He is the real deal. I hope all the Big Bucks fans go crazy when he strikes the front. I love the thought of him coming there on the bridle hee hee :-)

I had £280 on Big Bucks last year at 3/1, 5/2, 2/1, 11/10, 5/4, and 4/6. I could not believe he went Evs just before the race. I went and had another £40 on him but I bottled putting more on him. He was a certainty!

First year he won it ' averaged ' 25s , inc 33s on here , since then have been trying to find one to beat him , thought Sentry Duty's style of running might do it ...ugh , hope for 2011 is one that  needs to find as much as he did in 2009 , though unlike BB who seemed to find  hurdles a ' reward ' rather than the effort of fences , at least is younger and does jump better  ....Grands Crus , stupid ....probably , but it suits me better than the obvious , at least until the day .

I backed Big Bucks at 6/1 the first year he won it. He is unbeatable. I told everyone to get on. He is a superstar. Get on now at 4/7, just have £700 on to win £400. Easy money. I have hammered him at good prices and will continue to take the 4/7

Come on Big Bucks!!!!! You are the Champion!!!
By:

over 3m hurdles he is no doubt the champion, but to go down as a great horse in history he imo needs to win more prestigious races like a Gold cup eg

just reminds me of david haye, champion of a poor division, will never know how good really is
By:

Confused He'll be remembered as the best 3m hurdler. But that's the 4th division. Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase are all far more prestigious.

I can reel off great horses from those three.

no worries, its just that horses like Baracouda, inglis etc are not considered all time greats.WH horses are normally too slow for 2m or failed chasers, that is fact.
I aint havin a go at Big Bucks,he is a champion,but a champion in a poor division.

come of it he is a legend dont matter the code
By:
CVByrne
When: 06 Jan 11 21:28
He is a legend, but still he won't be remembered along the lines of Istabraq, Moscow Flyer or Best Mate. Sure he is racing at the same time as Kauto Star, I know which one will be remembered more fondly.

Big Bucks needs to win a Gold Cup. To cement his legacy imv.

Inglis Love The 3rd win, man I never screamed so hard. Legend alright.

Inglis' irst two wins came in tough races, especially the second.

still a legend pal fact he had to work for them made it better - holding your breath when the drever hit the flat spot.

Inglis Drever LoveLoveLove Now that was a serious legend for me.

Big Bucks could easily win 4 World Hurdle's if Paul Nicholls really wanted him to.

I wouldn't disagree and who knows he may well do mayweather.

PFN already on record as saying he's not trained a better horse - from an engine  viewpoint - if he can get his his fencing together he could add 3 Gold Cups to 3 World Hurdles . . . Though I think they should have gone for the GC this year and settled for 2/3.

He can certainly win a gold cup if he can jump fences. But who knows if he can. normally a horse will be given a few chances to jump fences but nicholls must have seen bad things at home to switch him to hurdles and persist over hurdles.

I won't be one who will back big bucks for a gold cup before I've seen him jump fences again. If he takes to them he'll take some beating in the gold cup next year.

Big Bucks was terrible jumping fences. I remember watching him several times, I he just doesn't have the respect for them. It's his engine that kept him competive in the chases he ran in. The year he unseated in the Hennessy he hit every fence and he did the same when he won at Aintree lol. The horse has grown up a lot now though, I really do like him. I think he's a serious machine. Come on Big Bucks, I look forward to March x
