This horse is 50's for the Arkle here, but massive odds for the Champion hurdle. I just taken over 400-1.
The horse is only entered in one race at present, a decent hurdle.
If the plan is to go chasing wouldn't he have been at least entered in a Novice chase by now ?
Hopefully he will stick to hurdles this year, theres plenty of time for chasing as he's a young horse.
Pause Switch to Standard View Secant Star for the Champion Hurdle ?

I see it was entered up for a begginers chase at Navan a few weeks back..The race Captain Cee Bee won last year before heading to the Arkle..I wish Willie Mullins would update his website more than once every 2years then we would maybe know a little more about this horses targets..Think the main aim is to go chasing with him this season though..Hope the owner doesnt have the same sick luck he had with Fionnegas first time over fences..

The entries for the Christmas Leop big races are telling in relation to WPM's intentions with SS - entered in the Christmas hurdle but NOT in any of the top novice chases . Cant see him going chasing unless and until he shows himself to be below top class over hurdles

Entered in three hurdle races now, so it looks like they have given up on the chasing.
Obviously needs to improve, but considering it was fancied for one the Cheltenham novice hurdles
last year seems massive for the Champion Hurdle.

Secant Star

4g Passing Sale - Effet De Star

E Duignan

1-F1

He only arrived back with us on Monday following his summer break. He has grown a lot and while I intended keeping him to hurdling after the promise he showed last season when he would have been two from two over hurdles but for falling at the last at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting with a race in the bag, he has developed so much that we might be tempted to go chasing sooner rather than later. I'll chat things over with his owner before deciding.

I noticed they have his form as 1f1 where as its F1 so thats how confident they are about him winning fto take the hint [;)]

Also i still think hes great value at 150 if he turns up can see him being 14/1 on the day after a few easy victorys in Ireland..
