Afternoon chaps. Thought I'd ask in here as there are some knowledgeable folk Happy

Anyone know of an establishment where you can have a spot of lunch, a couple of nice bottles of wine and watch the racing. In central London?

Much obliged if anyone knows anywhere.

not sure there is such a place CCM. Happy to be proved wrong.
Plenty of places (obviously) for both - but at the same time? hmmm

Sports Cafe (Haymarket) might have Racing on (never seen it on in there must admit) but good food/wine isn't exactly it's forte!

Am going to town Friday so can do a reccy if any use.

Its actually this Thursday I'm going, but thanks for the very kind offer mate. Somebody on the racing forum said Les Ambassadeurs shows racing.

I dont know of anywhere that meets all criteria. I watched key races at chelts last year from the Two Brewers in covvy g. Old mans pub, wouldnt recommend the food or wine but they had the racing on... Robouchon just round the corner if you hit a winner ;-)

Johnny Mac's on Cook Street mmg. Its called The Chambers (a couple of doors up from Piccolino's). Its supposedly a private members club but if you just buzz the door he lets anyone in moreorless! 2 or 3 big plasma's with Racing UK on and ATR between them. Food isnt gourmet but decent enough. And a full bar with a decent wine list.

Its perfect for an afternoon of racing. He owns a couple with Willie Mullins and is a real enthusiast too.
