Will enter the triumph hurdle calculations on saturday i believe, rated 86 on the flat, regular in class 2 handicaps, didnt quite stay in the cesarewitch but came through massively on the bridle with 2f left.

Trainer has since purchased the horse from previous owners for 82,000guineas, on RP stable tour he said this is the star in the making after seeing it school, entered in a novice hurdle at Newbury sat dinnertime.

This horse showed ability more than once on the flat but looked like he'd prefer flat tracks when he ran really well at Newbury. A candidate for a handicap round Aintree in the spring? Trainer does well there.

i think the issue is, judging by his stable tour comments on the horse, he does not consider it a handicap horse, he clearly has massive hopes for it.

"Had a great season on the Flat, showing improvement throughout and finishing off in the Cesarewitch. He was drawn two and would probably have been better off being dropped out and given a chance to stay the trip. As it was he was wide throughout and a little bit too keen, so he didn’t see the race out. He’s shown a good aptitude for hurdles in the small amount of schooling we’ve done with him since going through the sales and he’s got a great cruising speed. I’m quite excited about him and looking forward to starting him off this month".-10/11/10.

I thought they might even aim him at the same race Wayward Prince won last year but sounds like they think it's a bit quicker than him. Interesting to see where they aim him but a shrewd outfit who know their horses.
