Albion i would be worried about his last two runs at Cheltenham and Punchestown no apparant reason for them you could have said at Cheltenham it was just one of those things and forgive him (maybe didnt like the course)but then went to Punchestown and didnt perform will be interesting to see him jump hurdles before making judgement i see he is entered at Naas this week (10th Nov)in a couple of races.

Very early to be predicting the best Irish Supreme horse but does anyone know what is happening with Tavern Times - ran really well in the Cheltenham Bumper (after hacking up on debut from future winners) and then bombed when favourite at Punchestown.

JimJo- I liked him a lot last year, and backed him antepost for the bumper and was disappointed with his run.  Having read O Gradys stable tour I am happy with the excuse given as Tranquil Sea also ran flat and EOG thinks the races they had before at the same meeting were too close to the festival.  He says he was over the top by Punchestown.  The amount of money for him in the Champion Bumper shows what esteem he is held in, and EOG compares him favourably with Back In Front, he also says he has schooled very nicely.  Finally, he will have AP on him this year instead of Mr Magnier.  I emailed bookies and asked for him to be added to their markets, most coming back with 16s or 20s, however Coral offered 40s which i took a bit of as, even if he turns out to be all hype, I think it is a bit big as if he wins his maiden he will be a lot shorter.

Think we might have seen him running today in Hidden Cyclone.Won well today on heavy ground and is a far better horse on better ground.Cannot wait to see how Frawley does over hurdles as well as he was the best of the Irish in the Champion Bumper. Also looking forward to Bishopsfurze over hurdles this year.

Zaidpour is an interesting recruit to hurdling. Runs tomorrow at Punchestown for Mullins ( same ownership as Mikael, Arkiva and co)

O Grady said after SFTH's run he was more unfit than he thought, and the betting suggests all of Ireland knew the second fav was going to win.  He expects him to win his maiden hurdle next time out, and if he doesnt, I will be giving up on him.

So 23 declared ...what if some head for the Neptune and the Triumph ...are there reserves that get moved up from ballotted out horses ? Seem to be 3 or 4 who might head for the Neptune and the 3 4 year olds who may head for the Triumph which could leave a field of only 16  - last 5 years have been 18,20,22,22,20.
